Ms Williams could not speak for some moment. She was too stunned to speak, like the zeros behind the figure five hypnotized her.

She didn’t expect to see that amount of money as her credit from him. It was like a dream, a fairytale.

This was real life not some disney movie, she pinched her cheek to see if was really awake.

She was indeed awake watching the fat sum of money sitting in her account. Her emotions were all over the place, she didn’t know if she was supposed to cry or laugh at her situation.

She just managed to digest the whole situation.

Cephas cleared his throat. “Ms Williams?” He called, he got no response from her.

He went to her side to give her a tap. She recovered from her start for shock, adjusting her shirt, she sat on her chair to regain her composure.

It was like something caught her tongue, she didn’t know how to talk. How was she supposed to react? Jump and bow to him to say thank you?

But that would seem like she was doing too much. Geez. Should she just name him the CEO instead of her?

“Are you good?” He tilted his head to look at her well. She was flustered, her cheeks and ears were red.

She placed her shaky hands on the table, he smiled as he saw it, she didn’t even know that her hands were like that.

“Yes of course,” she stammered. Where did you get all that money from?” She whispered.

She didn't prepare herself for this kind of shock today. If anyone, even a fortune teller told her that she would get this amount of money at once she wouldn’t believe it.

Not to talk of getting it from a mere delivery man. She wanted to know more but she kept her curiosity in her pocket so he wouldn't collect the money back from her.

He smiled at her, “how I got or where I got it from doesn’t matter, does it? What matters is that I have done my part of the contract, you only need to do yours and we are done.”

She knew pushing to ask where he got the money from will only make him angry so she desisted from asking.

What if he stole the money and he tells the police that he gave you all the money. Well there is a contract binding them together, he only needs to sign it now..

Ms Williams felt ashamed of the clause she added. She put because she thought he would be able to give her the money like he promised,

He insisted that she remove it before he sent the money but she stubbornly refused.Her mother had always warned her that her stubbornness would lead her in trouble.

Now she believed her mother's words, and she was back to her senses.

“About the clause, Mr Walter, the sexual one….I…I..”

“It’s fine, I get it. I told you I didn't want it in the first place, I am a businessman, I don’t mix business with pleasure,”

“Please forgive my mistake. I didn’t mean to insult your personality all these while. It is my fault. I doubted your sincerity.”

“I understand, Mr Smith also played a part in it, so you lost trust in people for a while.”

“How can I make it up to you?” She asked with fear in her heart.

She thought that he was angry at her. For him to give her that amount of money, he must be a powerful man.

She has to earn his true forgiveness so he can help her in future, her company needed him in future.

“Don’t do anything. I am not angry at you, Ms Williams,” he replied to her. “I am not some cheap shallow minded fool that will require sex to help your business.”

“Helping you was my priority, it was the least I could do to repay your kindness to me over the years,” he added.

“You didn’t steal the money, did you?” She asked him, closing her eyes.

She didn’t know what expression she was going to get from him and was scared of his reaction.

“It’s strange that you think I can do a dishonest thing. All the time I worked with you, did I show any traits of being a thief?”

“No,” She answered truthfully.

Since she started her company three years ago he was the only delivery man that worked for that long, the rest either ran away with her money or cake.

He had never stolen from her.

“This is the first time someone is asking if I stole.” he chuckled. “Why would I steal 500 million dollars? That penny is nothing to me.” He rested his back in his chair.

She knew he was either making things up or he was telling the truth, it would be scarier if he wasn’t lying.

Who knows if he is a rich man that can make her company crumble because she is accused of doing dishonest things.

Saying sorry won’t cut it, she needs to go on her knees to beg him. That way he would let go of everything and things would go smoothly.

Ms Williams got up from her seat and moved close to him to thank him for saving her and dismissing her silly clause. She missed her step and stumbled.

Shutting her eyes thinking that her butt will land on the ground and she will be embarrassed of Cephas. His pair of hands caught her.

Her eyes flung open, immediately. Her breathing pace increased as her heart beat fast, racing like there was no tomorrow.

“We are partners now, it is my duty to save you from falling,” He said in a romantic yet professional way.
