The stars shone brightly as Dim-Dim and Velicia stepped out of the Venator apartment, each wrapped in thick coats. The moonlight made everything gleam silvery, and as they nibbled on Oreos they had snatched from the refrigerator on the ground floor—which seemed to belong to Oriyan—they strolled along the sidewalk at a leisurely pace. Along the roadside, the stripes glowed with bright blue lights in the darkness."Let's just do this like this," Velicia said, licking the Oreo cream. "You don't have to turn into a horse or anything. Unless we're going far.""Okay. But I'm curious about Venator Academy," Dim-Dim said. "Damian used to study there. And after seeing Valir yesterday, I'm curious about what the school is like."Velicia shrugged. "Our schools are adjacent. But to get into Venator Academy, you have to use their student card..." Suddenly, the girl fell silent and stared mischievously at Dim-Dim. "Hey, what if we borrow Valir's student card for a moment?"Dim-Dim looked hesitant.

Unexpectedly, Valir's house turned out to be in the same housing complex as Amma's house."I have no idea your family's house was near with Oriyan's," exclaimed Dim-Dim, jumping out of the car onto the white stone-paved yard."Yeah, almost every day I see Oriyan picking up his little sister to take her to school," said Valir. "Have fun at school, Dim-Dim," Damian said before dropping off Dim-Dim in front of his school gate."Okay, see you later tonight, Damian," Dim-Dim said, squinting as the sun shone directly into his eyes, making his face appear twice as bright and his brown hair shimmer.Dim-Dim then turned and walked towards the school gate. He saw Amma, looking beautiful as usual, walking with her friends and chatting loudly about cute 8th-grade boys.Dim-Dim rolled his eyes, annoyed. In the evening, after school, taking a short nap, and having lunch, Dim-Dim went to the Venator training building and took an empty room to try transforming into animals he saw in books. He tried everything, from laughing kookaburras, several types of snakes, to quolls. Then he noted some interesting facts about them in the notes app on his phone.He was typing, "quolls shouldn't eat cane toads (even though they might look tasty)," while sitting cross-legged on the floor, when suddenly the door to his training room opened, and Clarinassa and Damian walked in. Each with a disgruntled expression."What's your problem? "My brother would never hurt other kids!" Damian shouted as he ran into the police station."But that's the reality," said the tall, slender male officer sitting behind the computer. "He destroyed the park and threw stones at the other kids."Honestly, Dim-Dim didn't remember that incident. He was just so lost in his anger.
