Anna was seated in the open lounge of the Viocot Hotel and Suites. She was looking at her phone but her mind was adrift. There were a couple of things troubling her, but because of the manner at which she was staring down at the table, her facial expressions couldn't give her away.

Her phone had just rang and she had just finished talking to her father. He had asked her about Cory instead of herself and how she was feeling! Shouldn't her father ask to make amends for the things he did to her?

Instead of that, he had asked about Cory instead! The audacity!

Although she was mad and ended the call immediately, she had been worried about Cory!

That was exactly why she had called him to talk to him. She was surprised that Cory answered the call. She had been calling him ever since she left the penthouse three days ago!
