There was worry splattered across Anna's face. She couldn't move her body an inch. It would seem as though she had turned into a sort of statue. Her eyes were glued to the body that was lying on the bed.

Her lips were moving inaudibly as though she was saying some gentle prayers. There were a couple of things going on in her mind that she couldn't find words for yet.

She was alone in the guest room with Cory. She had done all she could to make sure that he came back to consciousness, but there was no result.

The husband and wife had left the house for the hospital. They wanted to go and confirm whether or not everything was well with the newly born.
