2025-04-15 05:17:13Nelson knew that no matter what he said to them they were not going to let him go. They were going to make sure that they took him back to his father. He didn't want that
Nelson turned. He tried to walk away from them so they won't notice him. He bumped into someone.
Nelson looked closely at the person that had just bumped into him. He had come to the airport to pick up his brother and someone had walked into him while he was waiting Wait. . . isn't this Nel? It was definitely him! But what is he doing here? When did he get back from abroad?
"Nelson. . . when did you get back? I thought you were abroad" Nelson said. He was really surprised to see him.
Nelson looked at the guy talking to him. He called his name so he must be someone who knows him. . . . but he couldn't remember where he knew this person from. "Do you know me?" Nelson asked him.
Nelson was hurt. It's been only two years. . . how can Nelson not remember him? "It's been only two years. . . . . how can you not remember me? It's me. . . . . Nelson. I go to Viants High" Nelson introduced himself.
Nelson sighed. He still didn't remember him but since he says that he attends Viants High. . . he must know him really well.
Nelson turned to look at the guards that were sent to pick him up. They had already started to look for him. He had to leave this place now or they were going to see him soon. "I'm really sorry but I have to go now" Nelson said. He didn't have the time to chat with this person. .
Nelson looked at Nelson. He looked like he was in a lot of hurry. He looked behind hi and saw a couple of men in Black suits. Nelson immediately understood what was going on. Those people were probably trying to find Nelson. . but he doesn't want to go with them. "Hey are you trying to get away from those people?" Nelson asked him pointing to the men.
Nelson looked at him. "How do you know that?" He asked him.
"Well you see I have eyes. Do you need help getting away from them? I can help you" Nelson said. It's not as if he really wanted to pick up his brother anyway. He really needed something to do right now.
"You can help me?!" Nelson asked. he immediately controlled himself. "Why will you do that?" He asked.
"Because I'm bored. I'm supposed to pick up my brother but I really don't want to do it. So. . . do you need my help?" Nelson asked.
Nelson looked back. Those people will catch up with him anytime soon . "Alright. . . fine. What are you going to do?"
"Come closer. . . I'll tell you" Nelson said. Nelson got closer to him and Nelson started to whisper.
"Do you think that this is going to work?" Nelson asked him.
Nelson smiled. "Trust me. I'm a pro when it comes to running away" he said with a grin.
Mike walked into the house. He really hated coming back to this place. It meant that he had to continue to see that woman Vanessa until the holidays were over.
As if having to see her face everyday wasn't enough torture for him she just won't leave him alone. Every single chance that she got she made sure that she pestered him.
When he entered the house, his father was sitting in the living room with Vanessa.
"Welcome home Mike" Vanessa said enthusiastically. Mike glared at her without saying a word. She was already used to this cold behavior of his. . . but why does it hurt so much each time?
Mike mumbled a greeting to his father and started to walk upstairs
"What do you think that you are doing?" Felix, Mike's father asked him.
"What I think that I am doing? I just returned from school. . . I'm going to my room to rest" Mike said. He completely ignored Vanessa. She is not worth any of his attention anyway.
"Mike. . . didn't you see your mother when you walked in? How can you ignore her like this?" Felix asked. He really didn't like the fact that Lucas treated Vanessa like this. she is doing everything to play the role of a mother for him and he just insists on pushing her away!
"Mother?. . . I'm sure if my mother were here I definitely won't ignore her. But as it is I don't see my mother here" Lucas said. His father can try all he wants. . he isn't going to accept such a woman as his mother. Vanessa. . . she doesn't deserve to be called mother by anyone.
"Mike! When are you going to stop behaving like a child? When are you going to stop throwing tantrums like a child? For goodness sake you are eighteen years old. Isn't it about time that you matured?" Felix asked.
"Matured? I think maturity has nothing to do with this father. I am never going to accept your wife as my mother. . so please. . . please stop trying" Mike said.
"What? How can you say that to my face? Do you even know how hard she is trying to play the role of a mother for you?!" Felix yelled at his son. .
"I never asked anyone to do anything for me did I? There was never a time when you treated my mother as your wife. . . so why do I have to treat your wife as my mother?" Mike asked him.
Felix lost his temper then. He just couldn't put up with this bullshit that Mike was giving him. "What?! Why do you hate Vanessa so much? Do you still think that she is the reason your mom abandoned you? Vanessa had nothing to do with that!" He said.
Mike was very livid now. He still remembered the conversation that Vanessa had with his mother the night before she left. "It's not her fault? You cheated on your wife with her. . . and it's still not her fault? I really don't want to talk about this. The both of you can do whatever you want. . . . just leave me out of it" Mike said and walked upstairs. .
Felix turned to Vanessa. He could see how hurt she was. "I'm really sorry Vanessa. . . that my son keeps acting this way to you. I know that you are a very good woman. . . I don't know why Lucas keeps behaving this way to you" he said.
Vanessa smiled at him. "You don't have to worry about me. . . I'm really fine. I'm not going to give up on Mike. . . . I'm going to keep trying. . . until he finally opens his heart to me" Vanessa said. She had never wanted anything and not gotten it before. .
Nelson's heart was beating fast as he walked towards his house. He knew that he would be in a lot of trouble once he got home. He had helped Nelson leave the airport and by the time that he came back his brother's plane has already landed. He prayed that his brother won't be home yet. Then he could tell his father and step mother that he waited for him but couldn't find him.
That prayer however went unanswered. As soon as he entered the house his father, brother and step mother were waiting for him. .
Nelson sighed. There was no saving him now. These people just won't let him be now.
"What happened Nelson? I thought that you were supposed to pick up my son from the airport? Where did you go to? You left Lander all alone. . . . . what if something had happened to him? What if he had lost his way? What would you have done then?!" Vivian, Nelson's step mother and Lander's mother said.
Nelson rolled his eyes Lander has only been gone for six months. . . . how can he possibly lose his way? Leave it to Vanessa to make a big deal out of everything. .
"What happened Nelson? I sent you to the airport so that you could bring Lander back home what did you do?" Marcus. . . . his father said
"Mom. . . . I was so scared. . . I looked around but I couldn't find him. . . what happened?" Lander asked looking scared. But deep down, he was happy. Seeing Nelson in trouble gave him some kind of peace.
"I was busy. . . . I got sidetracked" Nelson said. . he couldn't tell them that he was helping someone run away right?
"What do you mean by you got sidetracked? What could have been more important than my son? Marcus what is the meaning of this? Your bring the son of that mistress of yours to live with us. . and he starts to treat my son like he's not important" Vivian yelled. .
Nelson kept quiet. There was no way he would win against the three people in the room anyway.
He was annoyed. Why did Lander have to come back anyway? They said that he was going to finish high school and college abroad but he came back after spending only six months.
"What happened Lander? I thought that you were going to stay aboard until you finished high school and college. . . why did you come back after only six months?" Nelson asked. Something seems suspicious.
Lander flinched when Nelson asked him that. It couldn't be that he found out what happened right? He thought that his mother covered it up well for him. Lander turned to Vivian for support.
Vivian too was sweating. Lander had caused trouble in his school and got expelled. She knew that if his father got to find out about it he would be very mad at Lander. There was no telling what he will do to him once he gets mad. And so she made sure that no one talked of the incident. Then she convinced her husband to bring Lander back.
"Hey what are you trying to say Nelson? Are you trying to say that Lander did something wrong and he came back because of that? My son came back because he wanted to come back! Were you hoping for him to stay abroad so you can take what belongs to him? I'm telling you Nelson. . . . no matter the plan that you and your mother have. . . it's not going to work! Lander is still the first son!" Vivian yelled.
Nelson was hurt. His mother had nothing to do with all of this. He was all the more convinced now that Lander and his mother were hiding something. "I just wanted to know why he came back suddenly" Fred said.
Vivian turned to her husband. "Are you really going to let your son continue to talk to me this way?! My son came back because he wanted to. . . . why are you making it sound as if he did something wrong?" Vivian asked Fred.
"Dad. . . I really didn't do anything dad. Why is Nelson making it seem as if I did something wrong?" Lander said. His father can't find that he got into trouble abroad.
"I didn't say that you did anything. . . why are acting like you did?" Nelson asked him.
"Hey you. . . ! Who do you think that you are talking to that way? Remember no matter what I am still your older brother! I won't let you talk to me this way!" Lander said. He was only six months older than him but still. . . ! He is older than him. He should give him the respect that he deserves. . . why won't Nelson just let this issue rest?. Why does he keep bringing it up? He knew that his father won't let him off easy if he finds out.
"Nelson drop this issue this instant. Lander came back home because he wanted to come back. I thought that it would be better to let him study abroad and gather experience but I changed my mind. Our company is here after all. He is going to take over the company after college. . . so he should learn how things work here instead of wasting time in a school abroad. And so I have decided. Lander is going to be attending Viants High with you from now on" Felix said. It would be great to have both his sons in that school. And besides. . . . he heard that Nelson is back. . . . .
