Chapter 21

Mike walked away from the room. He did not know where to go. He just knew that he wanted to be away from that Nelson. Why the hell did he have to come back to this place? Why the hell does he have to come back to this damn annoying place and annoy him? It's already been two years. He did not have to come back! He should have stayed abroad. If he had said that he is not going to come back, he should have done as he said and stayed abroad. Why did he have to come back. That woman, Vanessa, she probably knows that he is here.

That is the reason why she had been trying extra hard to get close to him when he got back from school! What a joke! Does she really think that she is going to do anything for him concerning Nelson? What a joke! Everything was just so messed up! Nelson should not have come back, then everyone lives would have been easier. But deep down, Mike knew that there was nothing that Nelson could do about it. If his father says to come back, then he has to come back. He won't be able to say no. The both of them, when it comes to that, they were controlled by others. He did not want to be here, but that did not mean that he could leave right ?

Everything was so annoying! His father, his so called step mother, Nelson, his father and even that Rachel! Everyone just found a way to make life difficult for him. Why do they have to live like this? Things that they don't want to do, they have to do it because of some other people! No matter what, no matter how much he doesn't want it, Mike knew that sooner or later, he and Nelson are going to be pitted against each other. They are going to be each other's rival, even though they don't want to.

Sometimes, Mike really wanted to run away from everything. He did not want to be a part of it. He did not ask to be born into this kind of family. He just wanted to find his mother and go with her. Thinking of that, she is doing a really great job hiding from him! It's all because of that woman Vanessa! At least when his mother was around, he could still try to hold on for her sake, but she just came and destNeled everything! Now how is he supposed to hold on? What will he be holding on for? Mike felt running away.

He turned and saw that a student was approaching him, but she was walking backwards so she did not see him. he tried to warn her but it was too late, she already crashed into him. The both of them fell to the ground.

Lily and Cynthia had given Bella a tour of the school. Bella was enjoying the time that she was spending with these girls. She thought that they were going to be snotty since they are kids from rich families but they were not. She found out that the both of them were actually very nice people. They kept taking her around and explaining things to her. Bella found out that the school and every single student was rich, really rich. In fact, she slowly started to feel out of place. Why would her mother want her to come to a place like this? What does she want her to do here?

But Lily and Cynthia were doing everything they could to make sure that she doesn't feel out of place and that she fits in. Even when she told them that her parents were divorced and her mother was just a simple company worker, they did not make her feel out of place. It seemed like they really did not care about her background at all. But just because Lily and Cynthia did not care did not mean that the other students at Viants High won't care. Viants High is a place where students are discriminated according to how much money they had, Bella will be finding that out soon.

Bella felt that it was really ironic. When she was in her old school, most of her classmates thought of her as rich because her mother works for a major corporation. But she found out when she came to Viants High, her mother works for her a major corporation but her classmate's family owns a major corporation. It really was ironic. Right now, the three of them were going back to their room. Bella was doing something that she usually did when she was in her old school. Since her old school wasn't big, she could almost walk around the entire school with her eyes closed.

Most of the time, when she was bored, she would walk backwards to her classroom. She just told Lily and Cynthia about it and they asked her to do it. She was walking backwards and the three of them were laughing. Bella did not know that there was someone standing behind her. Before Lily and Cynthia saw him, it was already too late. The both of them end up falling to the ground. Bella was shocked. What just happened? Did she walk into someone again? Why is she so clumsy today? She turned to apologise to the person and she was even more shocked when she saw him. Mike?

Mike was annoyed when someone walked into him from behind and the both of them ended up falling to the ground. He was already pissed enough with Nelson and everything, who is this person?! He looked at her face. It's this girl again. Her name was Bella right? He had not had time to think about it before since he had Nelson and Rachel to deal with but thinking about it now, what is she doing at Viants High? Did she transfer to this school? What is going on?

He still had not forgotten how he met her. That day, if he had just ignored her and went to find his mother, then maybe he would have seen her. But because he stayed back to help this girl, he missed his mother. Right now, he did not know when he was going to find her whereabouts again. Because of Vanessa, she was doing a good job of hiding from her. He should be mad at her for that, but somehow he could not bring himself to do that. After all, he was the one who had decided to stay back and help her. She can't be blamed for that. The annoyance that was on his face was instantly replaced with a clam smile. That smile that made it feel like he was easy to approach but at the same time was pushing people away from him.

Bella felt like jamming her head into a wall. What did she just do? She just walked into Mike! This time, the both of them even fell down together. He won't think that she is trying to do this on purpose because she wants to get close to him right? That wasn't her plan at all. It is so embarrassing! Just now in the hallway she walked into him too and now she did the same thing and the both of them fell to the ground. Bella looked at Lily and Cynthia. The both of them shrugged. It wasn't their fault anyway. Then she looked back at Mike. He did not look angry at all.

In fact, he was smiling. That smile, it was enough to light up a room. Bella shook her head. She should be apologising to him. What is she thinking about now? "I'm really sorry. I should not have walked into you. This is the second time I'm doing this to you. I'm really sorry" Bella said. She had to admit, even though it wasn't her original plan to walk into Mike, she was actually quite happy that it happened. She could see him and talk to him like this. She felt really happy about it.

Mike smiled at her. He could see that she was nervous now. "You don't have to worry about it. It was a mistake" Mike said. He turned and walked away from them. For some reason, he kept feeling like he should not be close to this girl. He already lost one chance to meet his mother because of her. Someone like her, someone who is as clueless like her, will only be causing trouble. He could see that she was just an ordinary girl. Someone like her should not be in Viants High. she is too clueless.

Bella whatched as Mike walked away. She had no way of knowing what was going on in his mind right now. The only thing that she was thinking right now was how handsome he is. She had a smile on her face. She was so lost thinking about him that she did not notice that Lily and Cynthia had been talking to her for some time now.

Lily snapped her fingers in Bella's face. She did not know what happened to her. Why does she look so lost? "What happened to you Bella? Why do you look so lost? Let's go" Lily said. Bella is acting weird.

When Mike returned to the room, he met Nelson outside. He was talking to his fatter on the phone. "Dad, I really can't do this. I am the one who asked Mom to call you. I really can't do this. I can't put up with this school! If you want me to come here you should at least make it bearable for me right? Why do I have to share a room with other people? You should have told them to give me my own room! I really can't share a room with that person dad. Fix this or I'm going to leave this school" Nelson said. He was really hoping that his father would give him his own room.

He knew that man will never agree for him to leave Viants High. So he would give him his own room. But the reply of his fatter shocked him. "Nelson, if you are a student at Viants High you should act like a student. If you can request a room just because you want to leave alone does this mean that anyone can demand a room for theirselves? Stop trying to cause trouble Nelson. Don't cause trouble for me. Remember that anything you do will affect the company. Be careful" His father said and ended the call. Nelson was angry. What the hell is the meaning of this? Does he have to put up with Mike?

Mike ignored Nelson and walked into the room. He did not want to talk to him but Nelson was not going to just let him be. Since his father did not want to do what he said, he would just talk to Mike. Really there is no way that the both of them will be able to stay in this school together. Since he can't leave even if he wants to leave Mike should be the one to leave. At least he is not the only one who is uncomfortable. He knew that Mike is just as uncomfortable as he is about having to share a room with him and there is also Rachel. Is he okay seeing her?

Nelson held Mike's hand and stopped him from going inside. "Mike, let's stop going around in circles. You and I, we can't share a room. In fact we can't be in the same school. It won't be possible at all. Why don't you just leave? Why don't you transfer out? I know that you are just as uncomfortable as I am about being here with each other and there is also Rachel. Have you gotten over what she did to you two years ago? I know that you haven't. You are not comfortable to see her here everyday right? There is no reason for you to suffer here like this. Just transfer out" Nelson said.

Mike rolled his eyes. He wanted to leave too. He wanted to leave more than anyone else. But just because he wants to leave doesn't mean that he can just leave. His father won't let him leave at all. "I am uncomfortable? Who told you that I am uncomfortable? The one who is not okay staying here should leave. Besides, didn't you already leave two years ago? You can do it again. Just transfer out again. No, just go back abroad. Don't you think that it will be much more easier for you if you just leave?" Mike asked.

Nelson gritted his teeth. In just two years, Mike had gotten more sharp tounged. Maybe because he wanted to annoy Mike, or maybe because he was really curious, Nelson asked, "That woman, how is she doing?"
