The In-laws Regret

Chapter 27

Cynthia, Lily and Bella were getting ready to go to class. Bella looked at the uniform. She only needed to take one look to see that it must be really expensive. How can someone use something like this for uniform? She was really starting to wonder why her mother sent her to this school. What does she really want her to do in a place like this?

"Bella, what are you thinking about? Let's get going" Lily said.

Bella turned to look at her. She had a lot of questions that she wanted to ask her. Like what was her relationship with that Nelson. But when she tried to bring it up yesterday, she could see that Lily did not want to tell her about it. She said there was nothing but Bella knew that there was something going on.

Bella just decided to let it rest. After all, there are some things that people want to keep to their self. She would not try to intrude on other people's privacy.

"Alright. Let's get going then" Bella. She really wanted to see what Viants High classes were like. A school that discriminates students based on the money that they had, she really wanted to see what their educational system was like.

Bella had gotten her locker number the day she recieved her room number. Thankfully, it was quite easy for her to find this time. But it wasn't in the same place with Lily and Cynthia's. She ended up going alone to place a few books in it.

Bella had just finished placing her books in the locker . She turned and was going to leave when she saw someone staring at her. He was leaning on the locker next to hers. At first, Bella was scared but seeing who it was she rolled her eyes. What does this person want from her now?

Nelson was going to class when he saw Bella. He had not forgotten about how she insulted him a few days ago. He was definitely going to get back at her for that. For some reason, he found himself following her here. He really wanted to know who this girl was. Just who does she have backing her that she has the guts to talk to him the way she did? How can she not be afráid. Besides, she is someone Mike said is interesting, of course he has to take a look.

Bella was prepared to ignore him. She was walking past him but then he stretched out his leg and tripped her. Bella fell face down to the ground.

She raised her head and looked at the pair of long legs that she just tripped over. Bella had to admit, he did have long legs, she could not help it, she found herself looking up to his face. Gosh, why does life have to be so unfair? How can someone with such a face be so annoying? How can someone with such a face be such a jerk?!

Nelson scoffed when he saw her looking at his face. He scoffed. She has done this before. Doesn't she get tired of fangirling over him like this?

"You done looking? I know that I am handsome but don't you think you looking like this will wear out my face? Seriously it's annoying" Nelson said. There was a playful smile on his face, like he was teasing her on purpose.

Bella almost choked on her spit. His narcissism is on another level! Her stare changed to a glare immediately.

"What are you doing? I'm not going to help you up" Nelson said.

Bella got up at once. "Do you always have to be a jerk? What are you doing right now?" Bella asked. She was finally giving vent to her anger.

"Jerk? Do you think that word can be used to describe someone as handsome as me?" Nelson asked.

. Bella was so angry. He is clearly teasing her. Really what does this person want from her?

"Seriously, what do you want from me? Why won't you leave me alone?! Do you even know how annoying you are right now?" Bella asked. She had never felt so angry at a person before. Even Nelson did not annoy her like this.

Nelson scoffed. What does he want from her? The question should be what she wants from him. From the very first day he met her, she had been trying so hard to get his attention. He was starting to think that she bumping into him in front of the restaurant wasn't a mistake at all! It was all well planned out!

"What I want from you? I think that the question should be what you want from me. You've been trying so hard to get my attention for a long time now. I finally noticed you, aren't you happy?" Nelson asked.

The more she listened to this individual, the more he exasperated her. What? Was she endeavoring to capture his attention? How could someone be so conceited?

"Seriously how does your brain work? I've been trying to get your attention? How did you even come up with such a ridiculous conclusion?!" Bella yelled.

Nelson was taken aback. Is she saying that she is not interested in him? In this entire Viants high, is there a student that's not interested in him?

"Are you saying that you are not interested in me? Do you really think that I'm going to buy something like that? In this entire school, there isn't a single person that's not interested in me! I have to admit, your method of getting my attention worked well. Tell me, what do you want?" Nelson asked her.

Bella thought that the craziest person was Nelson.

She was truly shocked to see someone crazier than him.

"Hey, are you okay? Does your head hurt? If you don't feel too well, you should go see a doctor. Stop making things difficult because of your condition. Why will I be interested in someone like you?" Bella asked.

Nelson cletched his fists. So she is pretending not be interested? No wonder Mike kept saying that she is interesting, she really is something.

"You don't have to pretend to not be interested in me. See, I'm even talking to you right now. You should make use of this opportunity. You don't know if I'll ever bother to talk you again" Nelson said.

Now Bella was sure that there was something seriously wrong with this person. He seems to have a few screws hanging lose in his head.

"I won't even bother talking with a mental patient like you. Get lost! I have to get to class!" Bella said.

She was going to walk away but he grabbed her arm.

"I'm not done talking yet!" Nelson said. How dare her try to walk out on him? What is she really trying to show him?

"Let go of me at once!" Bella yelled. This was starting to get really frustrating. Why won't he just leave her alone?

Nelson pulled her closer. Now they were standing a few meters from each other. their faces were almost touching.

"Hey, what are you doing to me?! Do you that this is harrassment? Let go of me!" Bella demanded.

Nelson was really close to her, so close that when he talked to her, only the both of them could hear it.

"Tell me. Seriously who the hell are you? What are you doing in this school? What does your family do? Seeing how bold you are, your family must be really something. Who the hell are you?" Nelson asked. This was what he really wanted to know.

Bella rolled her eyes. It's this question again.

"What has that got to do with you? It's none of your business!" Bella said.

"It's all of my business. I should at least know the background of the people at my school" Nelson gave her an excuse.

"Really? I thought that Viants High is a place where students gather to learn. Who would have thought that this place would be like this? Students are discriminated against and even the owner's son is harrasing a student. . . how will the public react when they find out that Viants High is like this?" Bella asked.

"Are you threatening me?" Nelson asked her. Now his voice was cold. It had a bone shilling effect to it.

"You can think whatever you want! Let go of me right now!" Bella said. Nelson refused to let go. Bella tried to pull her hand away but Nelson just held her tighter. The both of them continued to struggle like this for a few seconds until someone said from behind them.

"Nelson"

Bella and Nelson turned to see Rachel looking at the both of them. She looked really angry. In fact, her entire focus was on Bella. Clearly she had seen her struggling with Nelson just now. Right now, they were a dozen thoughts flying through her head.

Nelson subconsciously let of Bella. Bella saw her chance and she hurried away. She could see the way Rachel was looking at her. No matter what the relationship between these two people were, she did not want to get involved.

After Bella was out of sight, Rachel finally spoke up. "What were you doing with the new student. The both of you seemed really close" Rachel said with a probing tone.

"Whether we are close or not, it has nothing to do with you" Nelson said completely ignoring her. He really did not like her at all. In fact he really hated this person standing in front of him. Can't she just take the hint and scram? Does she intend to keep doing this.

"I think that you should be careful. You don't want students talking about you and the new student after all" Rachel said. She was trying to sound like she cared about him.

"You don't need to put on your pretentious act in front of Rachel. You are the one who don't want people to talk" Nelson said.

Rachel scoffed. But she knew that he was right. Everyone was talking about how she and Nelson are a perfect match, if some new girl shows up out of nowhere, what will she do?

"Until when are you going to be like this to me? You can't continue to ignore me like this forever" Rachel said. In the end, he won't be able to run away from it anymore. Neither of them will be able to escape.

Nelson looked at her. "Do you really think that I'm suddenly going to start being nice to you? You should know more than anyone else how much I really hate you!" Nelson said.

"You hate me? Do you really think that you will be able to hate me? You and I, we are going to get engaged soon. Whether you want it or not, I'm the person that you are going to be with in the future. You can't run away from me. Don't you think that it will better for you to accept it now?" Rachel asked. The both of them, they won't be able to escape anyway.

"I really don't know what you are talking about Bella. I'm not the person who promised to get engaged to you. You should go look for the person who made that promise to you. Stop provoking me Rachel" Nelson warned her.

He did not want to continue to talk to her anymore so he just walked away from her. But Rachel's voice made him stop.

"Do you think that just because you act like this, you will be able to run away? Your father won't let you do that at all! You are already a student in this school! He even sent you here, don't you get what is going on?" Rachel asked. They had given her a Chance and she was definitely going to make sure that she used it.

Nelson turned to look at Rachel. This time, his gaze wasn't as cold as he looked at her. "Tell me the truth Rachel. Why are you doing this? Why do you want me so much? Is it because you love me? Do you really even love me Rachel?" Nelson asked.

Rachel stopped her tracks. She did not think that Nelson would ask her a question like this. Does she love him? Of course the answer was clear.

"Of course, I love you. And I will stop at nothing to make you mine" Rachel said.
