"I do!" Shenny shouted back.

"By the rules of the school, you clearly don't," Alex retorted with a mocking grin.

"You're not even a real teacher yet. You're just a substitute who volunteered herself. You have no right to be teaching."

Shenny's body trembled with anger; his words had struck her hard.

Alex curled his lip in disdain. "Go ahead, report me. I'll tell the Dean what you're really about—that you despise commoners and only want to teach nobles. You're wasting our time here, pushing your own agenda. You shouldn't even be here, teaching for your own selfish reasons."
