Chapter 6

"You're the one who's wrong!" Ugor's intense anger and emotional rage were evident as he defended his innocence, even though it was clearly his fault.

Suddenly, the most luxurious car in the world, worth $10 million, appeared behind the $50,000 and $100,000 cars.

A tall, stunningly beautiful woman, with long hair and adorned in extravagant attire, emerged from her car.

“Dears, can you both move your cars? I need to pass. Please don’t block the way.”

Ugor, shocked by the beauty, promptly replied with a lewd expression, "Yes, yes, of course."

“Right away.” The other car owner, feeling intimidated by the high-priced car’s aura, also moved his car to the parking lot to clear the way.

"Thank you," the woman replied, then drove her luxury car into the parking lot, eliciting awe from a crowd of onlookers.

She got out of her car elegantly, walked towards Alex, and bowing deeply. “Lord Alex, your faithful personal assistant, Livinia, at your service.”

Ugor and Merly watched in shock as the beautiful woman bowed to the poor Alex.

"Let's head back," Alex said, fed up with all the drama. He handed the smart wrist device and bank card to Lavinia. "Please return these items later."

“Please give me a moment, Sir? It won’t take long,” Livinia sweetly said, taking the items and giving Alex a wink.

She approached Ugor and the car owner, who were still engaged in a heated argument, with Merly siding with Ugor.

“Excuse me, gentlemen,” Lavinia interjected. “Can you give me a moment? It won’t be long.”

She then turned to Merly. “You must be Merly, Alex’s ex-wife.”

“And who are you?” Merly looked her suspiciously.

“Oh, where are my manners? I am Lavinia, Alex’s personal assistant,” she replied with a graceful tone, her demeanour exuding nobility.

The scent of her expensive perfume filled the air.

“These two items were supposed to be Alex’s wedding gifts to Mrs. Merly. I personally arranged them under Alex’s instructions. But it seems they were discarded, so I need Mrs. Merly to understand what the items you threw out actually are.”

Lavinia walked to Merly, placed the smart wrist device on her wrist, which activated automatically.

The screen displayed a message for everyone to see: “Welcome, Mrs. Merly Luxenberg, this is the gift from Alex, your husband. All features will be accessible after first wedding anniversary, which is about 13 hours from now.”

“Mrs. Merly, please ask the smart device what gifts you can get after the wedding anniversary.”

Following the instructions, Merly queried the device, which responded, “You will get a castle, a private summer house, a private aircraft, and many other assets.”

Merly's face turned to shock, so did Ugor and the luxury car owner’s. All three of them were astounded, wondering if this was real.

“Alright,” Lavinia took the smart device from Merly’s wrist and showed it to the three people. “Let me explain. There is a small logo here. It's the royal family logo.”

“Meaning, only those who are connected to the royal family can use it. Anyone pretending to be a member of the royal family would get death penalty.”

The three still seemed unable to grasp the full meaning of what was happening.

Lavinia then took out a golden card. “This is a special card from the Royal bank, created for Mrs. Merly.”

“Mrs. Merly, I see you have a cheap smart wrist device there. Can you contact the Royal Bank customer service?”

Merly, following the instructions, activated the device, and a screen appeared, prompting, “Please input your bank code number.”

Lavinia handed the card to Merly, who used it to input the number on the screen.

The screen displayed a message, “Please wait,” before a customer service representative appeared in a video call.

“Mrs. Merly Luxenberg, thank you for using our bank service. I am Auna, how may I assist you today?”

Lavinia, standing beside Merly, asked, “Can you tell us who the owner of this golden card is?”

Auna responded promptly, “Golden card is issued only for members of the royal family. They are limited edition.”

“Gold card for this account number was added under Merly Luxenberg’s name, the wife of Mr. Alexander. However, the bank account will only become operational after their first wedding anniversary, which is 13 hours from now.”

Merly's eyes widened.

“Could you tell us the amount in the bank account for Merly Luxenberg?”

“Since it is linked to Mr. Alexander’s bank account, it’s difficult to specify the exact amount. But I can say that Mrs. Merly could access up to a billion dollars per year without any issues. If she wishes to use more than that, she will need Mr. Alexander’s permission,” Auna explained politely.

“A billion dollar?” Merly gasped.

Ugor and the car owner found it hard to believe.

With a sly smile, Lavinia inquired, “Miss Auna, what would happen to the bank account if Merly were to ask for a divorce from Alex right now?”

“Well, the account would be cancelled then, and all the money would revert to Mr. Alexander. But currently, our system hasn’t received the divorce data from the government system.”

“It’s possible they haven’t entered it into the system yet,” Lavinia suggested.

Suddenly Merly frantically rushed towards the Government agency, exclaiming, “I must cancel it!”

In office, the old woman was inputting their divorce data, her old finger was just on the way to enter it into system.
