There was always a hint of sadness in his tone.

"Okay, I understand you want to wait for the general," Azalea said reassuringly.

"But there's no need to hesitate. Maybe I'll see him when he returns."

"You never know. Great people often keep a low profile," Regina replied.

Azalea comforted Regina gently, "I know, Azalea."

"It's okay. When I return, we can hang out together," Regina assured her.

Regina fell silent for a moment before smiling and waving her hand, "No problem. I'm the branch manager now."

"When you return, I'll put you to work," Azalea joked proudly.

"That sounds great. I'll hold you to that," Regina replied, congratulating herself before they ended the call.

Azalea set her phone down, reflecting on the events of the past two days. She looked at the door before standing and walking toward it.

She softly knocked on Gilbert's door, mustering her courage. "Gilbert, thank you," she said.

"It's not a big deal. It's all thanks to you," Gilbert said, speaking from inside the roo
