101: Regret

Liam didn't return home that night, he stayed at the hospital until he was allowed to go into Avery's ward and there, he could see her laying on the hospital bed with a breathing tube connected to her mouth. Doctor Wesley told him it would take her a long time for her to wake up, some days or even weeks, still, it was enough for Liam as long as she was alive.

Still, it hurt to see her that way. She was all alone. No parent, siblings, or even lover, or they would've shown up after hearing the news.

Liam could still recall the first time she met with him, it was at his father's funeral when she approached him and introduced herself, before suggesting they work together.

He refused to trust her, thought everything about her was suspicious since she was too smart for her own good.
