100: Poignant Sorrow

Everyone in the hospital's waiting area went to a halt when a man rushed in, carrying a bloody and unconscious woman in his arms.

"Help!" Liam's shout was so loud that his veins bulge out along his neck.

Immediately, doctors rushed in with a gurney, and Avery was put on the gurney before they began rolling it away.

Liam had tears streaming down his cheeks as he ran along with the doctors and nurses until he was refrained from entering the Emergency ward.

It wasn't the Price hospital but a nearby hospital where Liam had run like a madman, with Avery in his arms, earlier.

His body trembled as he sobbed, that for a moment he forgot who he was and the position he held.

All he cared about was Avery Duffer.

The woman who risked her life to save his. Took the bullets that were meant for him.

Thinking about the way she covered her body with his made Liam sob even harder.

Why on earth would she do that when he never accepted her feelings?
