Liam drew in a deep breath at this, because everything was starting to align. His mother made both he and Emily suffer because she didn't want them to be taken away from her by the wealthiest man in Texas. But she was selfish and insensitive on the contrary, because she was fed up with life and committed suicide without telling him and his sister about their real identity.
Liam couldn't believe his real father was Brandon Price. It was just insane.
"How did you even find me?" Liam queried with his eyes lowered in curiosity.
"You were running out of an employee’s house just yesterday evening. It was there I saw you, I couldn’t even believe it. I then did my own findings about your from the servants and was told you worked as a gardener," Gibson informed him.
Liam clenched his jaw and nodded.
"So this man..my father, you said he's dead?"
"Yes. He was on his sick bed when he implored me to find you and your twin. He left a private will with me. Specially meant for you and your sister as you're both his first children."
"It just doesn't matter anymore," Liam turned his back to Gibson as he uttered this.
"What do you mean?" The butler was curious.
"If Brandon Price is truly my father as you claim, then you came late because my sister is dead. She died two days ago, there was no money for her heart transplant."
Gibson facepalmed and sighed at the news.
“And I thought she was away.”
“Oh, she is. Away from the living. Six feet down and covered in mud.”
"It's all my fault, I came late."
"If there's anyone one to be blamed, then it should be my mother."
"I am so sorry for your loss, Master Liam," Gibson bowed his head in sadness upon sensing Liam's distress.
"No need. Feeling remorseful wouldn't bring her back," Liam heaved deeply and thought about Emily's delicate face, "at least she's not alive to suffer anymore. She's found a better place of rest than this cruel world."
Liam let a few seconds of silence run by before turning to face Gibson once more.
"Who owns this place?"
"You, master Liam. It's one of the properties he left in your name. Then there's more houses in this city, Paris, Morocco, London, New York, Los Angeles..er, I still think I'd need to go through the will once more." Gibson provided.
Liam just pinched himself to see if this was actually happening or if he was hallucinating.
"Let's go in so I can give you a clear statement of the will, shall we, Master Liam?"

"Two private jets, owner of his car brands, real estate companies, hospitals, and banks all over the world.."
"Wait," Liam interrupted Gibson from where he was seated, and then he ran his fingers through his hair.
"Ah, I can feel my migraine returning.." he looked at the room's coved ceiling.
"And two hundred billion dollars which he left. Sixty percent of the money was supposed to be yours and forty for your sister, but she's gone to rest. So all the two hundred billion dollars and her own properties goes to you."
Liam was lost for words at this, his heart was threatening to burst wide open from his chest. It was just too much to take in that he felt suffocated.
The butler, Gibson went over to Liam's side with a tab and began showing him his properties.
"Someone come help!" Gibson bellowed at top of his lungs and the servants rushed into the room in fear.
On the cold floor was Liam who just passed out from hearing the will Gibson just read to him.
They revived him with sprinkles of water a few minutes later.
"Was I dreaming?" Liam inquired whilst sitting upright.
"No, you weren't," Gibson shook his head and grabbed Liam by the shoulders, "there's still more that I haven't even told you,"
"Young master, do not faint again," Gibson pleaded because Liam's eyes rolled in their sockets.
The servants did their best to keep him up, shoving varieties of food and wine in his mouth, blowing him with huge hand fans because he was drenched from perspiring.
But nothing worked so they took him to the balcony so he could breathe in natural air.
Although Liam was fine, he sort of appeared half-sane because he was still repeating the words of Gibson in his head.
Who would have thought he was Brandon Price's first son? With such cumulative wealth? It was highly stimulating to his senses, like drugs no rehab could fix.
But then a dull pain spread through Liam's chest when his mind drifted over to Emily. She hadn't lived to hear the life-changing news. And now all her inheritance would be passed over to him because she was dead.
"Young master Liam," Gibson sat beside him and sighed, "I know you feel sad about claiming your sister's inheritance, but it's all yours since she's no more."
"Emily suffered a lot," Liam was already in tears as he looked at the butler, "I can still remember how she always ate very little and kept the largest portion of meal for me because she felt I was overworking. She stayed up at nights to knit me a cardigan and head warmer during winter. She was very considerate. Cried with me whenever I was hurting."
"Well, Master Liam, your sister sounds like someone who always wanted the best for you. So it's best you claim all of the inheritance and start a fresh life. There's so much out there in the world for you," Gibson told Liam.
And Liam nodded slowly because it was a thoughtful thing.
"There's no time to waste, Master Liam. You need to own up to your inheritance as fast as possible. So much needs to be done," Gibson stood up and bowed at Liam.
"What's left?" Liam looked at the butler.
"Your father's funeral is in a few days. It is a must that you should be present, now that you've been found. You're his first son, the world needs to know you."
A few hours later, Gibson took Liam to the bank which turned out to be Liam's bank as well. The bank manager was a bit confused to see the poor ragged boy and the butler from the wealthiest family known in the world."Does he work for you? I can recall him coming to me for a loan two days ago," the bank manager asked Gibson, referring to Liam who was seated on the couch behind them."He came to you for a loan?" Gibson was puzzled."Yes, yet the bank couldn't help because he doesn't have any collateral. You're here to help him out?" The bank manager lowered his glasses to the bridge of his nose and looked at Liam once more."Actually, no. He's my master. The first son of Brandon Price and we're here because he needs a black credit card to access the billions his late father saved in his account,” Gibson announced with utter confidence.Liam chuckled to himself at the moment bank manager paled. Something which happened because he heard what Gibson said."He's Mr. Price's son?" Disbelief
"You should come sometime later after he's done with his shopping," the boutique manager told Chloe."What in the seven hells is wrong with you and this freaking place!?" Chloe bellowed at the top of her lungs.People were already staring at her as if she had gone mad. Meanwhile, Liam had his hands in his pockets, taking casual steps toward the scene. And Gibson was right behind him."Ma'am, you're causing a scene. We don't want anyone inconveniencing our VIP.."The manager didn't finish with this explanation when Chloe lunged at him with clenched fists, but Valante held her back."Let me go!" Chloe was struggling to break free when she immediately halted as if she saw the face of Medusa and got stilled like a stone."You?" She scoffed to herself and then disengaged herself from Valante's grip, "I can't believe you followed me all the way down here, stalker that much?""Believe me when I say I had no idea that I'd run into you and your boyfriend, Chloe," Liam scratched the back of his
It was raining when Gibson pulled up in front of a large mansion. And Liam turned to Gibson with a knowing look on his face."Let me guess, this is also one of my belongings?""You're right, sir," Gibson unlocked the gates before driving in and stopping at the garage that had roughly a hundred cars."The cars?" Liam blurted out, trying to keep his breath in check."All yours. Your father started buying them ten years ago. He said you were fifteen and old enough to drive. He had high hopes that you and your sister would find him."Liam nodded and stayed silent. He just bought a suit for $3,000,000, why would the cars freak him out? Gibson unlocked the car door and then stepped outside with a black umbrella.Liam hopped out of the car and let Gibson take him into the house. At first, he wanted to hold the umbrella so they could fit in, but then realization slammed through his senses that he was now a boss so he ought to behave like one."You need to know what they're like before you rev
The next morning Liam took enough time to groom himself to perfection, as he was to go meet with his father's family. He knew he had to prepare as they weren't just his father's family, these people were strangers. There were high chances of him getting despised. It seemed as though he was about to step into the Lion's den even though they were just humans like him.Gibson drove him to the family mansion that morning, the place Charlotte Price lived with her kids. And when Liam got in, they were already in the large sitting room waiting for his arrival. "Good day everyone, I have come with Master Price's son as I promised," Gibson announced, and immediately heads snapped in Liam's direction to take a proper look at him.Jaws dropping, eyes blinking unsteadily and even a spoon falling from the mouth of the youngest in their midst. They were way too stunned to see him look exactly like the younger version of Brandon Price. His stepmother who appeared younger than her age, his three step
"...everything has been written in his name whilst you and your children are left with nothing.""What!?" Literally everyone in the entire room chorused this, well except for Liam. Although he was as dumbstruck as they were."Are you currently seeing straight, Mister Conrad or do you need a new pair of glasses?" Beatrice couldn't hide her dismay."Thanks for your concern, Miss Beatrice. But my vision is quite fine and these glasses are just for fancy," Mr. Conrad responded before staring at Liam who was yet to speak after hearing the news."What in the hell did you just read to my family and me?" His father's wife was already on her feet, looking like life was getting sucked out of her."Charlotte, I am only a mouthpiece of your late husband and not the one who wrote the will. Maybe not transferring your anger toward me would be of help to us all," The lawyer looked like he would be anywhere but there."Why would he leave everything for me? This doesn't make sense," Liam had his brows
As Liam gazed at the body of his late father, he couldn't help but ponder what their relationship would have been if they had met sooner before his death.Of a truth, they looked so much alike even in Brandon's death that one wouldn't have to glance at them twice to know they were father and son. "Gibson, how was my dad like?" Liam looked at the butler who had his hands right behind him, "I'm only asking because I was robbed of my chances to be with him.""He was competitive in the business world and always emerged at the top with his brands and companies in several countries. Envied and admired by many. Strict and considerate only a few times. I wouldn't say he was a bad man but he did things for his own selfish interests. He put business first before his emotions and it made him a conqueror. He wants you to even do better than him.""I see," Liam rasped out and folded his arms across his chest. "But he loved his children," Gibson continued, "did all they asked.""Then why did he le
The following day Gibson hired hefty, professional bodyguards to escort Liam to the studio because it was widely known that the first son of Brandon Price had been found. The place was a bit crowded because a lot of people were eager to see Liam.It was quite a lot for Liam, to see thousands of people there for him. Several days ago, they would walk right past him without even a second glance. Even bump shoulders with him and accuse him of being stupid. But now, things were different. He came to have a liking for suits since his real identity was revealed. And he did feel like a boss as he was led to the studio, whilst avoiding the gazes of people who called out to him.The studio had roughly 50 press corps because it was the day of his interview. They were all seated orderly, waiting for him to take his seat. Because he had a curious story to tell, the one they wanted to share with the entire world. And as Liam faced the journalists, his chest was held up because it felt like he had
"Let me through, he asked for me,"Upon hearing this familiar feminine voice, Liam snapped his head back, only to see his bodyguards holding back a woman. He was out of the studio with camera lights flashing in every direction he turned to. He was being snapped by paps."Liam!" He heard the voice once more. And at this, he looked at Gibson who in turn took the wordless order and commanded the guards to let the woman pass."Liam!" She called out in desperation and dashed towards him. Liam recoiled and stepped backward upon seeing it was no other person than Chloe. It was puzzling to see her in tears with her make-up smeared across her face like she was slapped with a pile of pigeon shit."Chloe?" Liam had his eyes raised in their sockets, he had no idea that someone like her was there. "I was so touched by everything you said that I couldn't help but tear up," Chloe blurted out, with her shoulders shaking along with her as she sobbed violently."Why the tears," Liam couldn't find it w
