9: Testing The Heir

It was raining when Gibson pulled up in front of a large mansion.

And Liam turned to Gibson with a knowing look on his face.

"Let me guess, this is also one of my belongings?"

"You're right, sir," Gibson unlocked the gates before driving in and stopping at the garage that had roughly a hundred cars.

"The cars?" Liam blurted out, trying to keep his breath in check.

"All yours. Your father started buying them ten years ago. He said you were fifteen and old enough to drive. He had high hopes that you and your sister would find him."

Liam nodded and stayed silent. He just bought a suit for $3,000,000, why would the cars freak him out?

Gibson unlocked the car door and then stepped outside with a black umbrella.

Liam hopped out of the car and let Gibson take him into the house. At first, he wanted to hold the umbrella so they could fit in, but then realization slammed through his senses that he was now a boss so he ought to behave like one.

"You need to know what they're like before you reveal yourself to them tomorrow," Gibson told him immediately as they were inside.

"I know what Charlotte Price looks like. I've seen her brands on tv a million times," Liam responded as he took off his suit jacket and sat on the resting chair.

"It's not about the looks, Liam. I have to give you a rundown of their personalities so you could face them," Gibson provided in a serious tone and it made Liam sit upright.

"Are they mean?"

"More than that,"

"Then why do I even have to meet with them?" Liam lowered his eyes in a suspicious squint.

"Your father wants you to know who they are, so you won't get fooled by anyone. There are back-biters, manipulators, traitors, and the worst things you could ever imagine." Gibson said.

"I see," Liam said thoughtfully after a slicing of silence, "so father never really liked them?"

"There's a lot of mysteries to unravel about the Price family and the people they mingle with, that's why your father wrote a different will and left it in my care."

Liam nodded and waited for Gibson to return with a big book.

"What's in there?"

"Profiles and a bit of information."

At this, Liam stood up and rolled the sleeves of his shirt. He could tell from the butler's behavior that these people seemed dangerous. They weren't just his father's family. It felt as if he wanted to read about his enemies to know how to tackle them.

Gibson neared Liam's side with the book.

"Father asked you to keep this?"

"No, it was my own idea. I figured you'd be needing it so you'd recognize faces and know how to deal with them on your first meeting, which would be tomorrow morning."

"That's thoughtful of you."

"This is Charlotte Price, your stepmother and.."

"Hm, father's wife would do," Liam interrupted Gibson upon glancing at the photo of the blonde-haired woman who looked like she had an attitude, "I'll take it that she's mean? Because it looks like she wouldn't even accept me as her stepson. Negative energy, competitive in everything, rival vibes, loves her children to the bone like Cersei Lannister."

"You know what people are from a first glance through their pictures?" Gibson stared at Liam, wide-eyed.

"I am a deep thinker and I observe people a lot," Liam smirked at him.

"Charlotte had her own money before she married your father."

"I see."

"She's one of the most wealthy and influential women to be known."

Liam took the book from Gibson and flipped over to the next page because he figured he needn't go deep about this woman when he could read her like an open book.

"Beatrice, Arthur, and Georgie Price?" Liam was in the confusing state of being perplexed for a second.

"Your siblings," Gibson answered in a way as if he forced the words out of his throat.

"Father was blonde-haired and so is Charlotte. Why are my step-siblings all black-haired?" Liam inquired, upon taking a look from the first to the last sibling. Age twenty, seventeen, and nine.

"It could be that someone in your family's lineage was black-haired?" Gibson was unsure of himself a bit when he said this. And Liam could discern something wasn't right.

"Both my sister and I are blondes even though our mom was a brunette," Liam flipped over to the next page, "Hunter Gail."

"Charlotte's elder brother and the acting CEO of the Price Enterprise," Gibson said and Liam nodded.

He spent an hour going through the black book and knew all their names and faces. Whilst Gibson served him wine.

"So, what's next?" Liam asked after keeping the book aside.

"I reckoned you'd be needing entertainment," the butler responded and stepped aside.

"What kind of entertainment?" Liam folded his arms across his chest and leaned his back on the couch. He was curious this time.

Gibson gave a little clap and with that, three beauties stepped out from a room, dressed sluttily so that Liam could see bits of their pieces.

"What's going on?" Liam was confused as the girls approached him.

"They're all yours, Master Liam. You can do as you please with them,"

"But I never asked for women," Liam clenched his jaw when the first girl straddled him. He could see her nipples sticking out of her blouse.

He wasn't prepared for this, no matter how mesmerizing the girls looked. He hadn't even nursed his broken heart from Chloe.

"Just have a little bit of fun, Liam, tomorrow will be a long day. You can ring me when you need my attention," Gibson was already hurrying away.

"No," Liam gently pushed the first girl away from him and squeezed himself out from the remaining girls.

"What is it, sir?" Gibson feigned confusion for a second, "you don't like them? I could bring in another set. Or three isn't enough?"

"I don't want to get my dick wet," Liam gritted out, looking pissed off.

"Oh," Gibson blinked unsteadily.

"Pay them off and send them away. I'm not horny, no man in his right senses would want to fuck women when there's a lot more in front of him. I need to focus," Liam neared Gibson's side, completely ignoring the half-naked women behind him.

And Gibson was amazed. It seemed as though things were falling into place. He dismissed the girls immediately.

"Are you gay or something?" The first girl frowned at Liam whilst grabbing her stuff.

"No, my engine only drills into feminine holes but I don't want to fuck," Liam stared directly into her eyes as he told her this.

And the girl flipped her hair with a huff.

"I have a great body, no man has ever turned me down."

"Then I'm glad to be the first," Liam offered her a small smile then pointed at the door.

This statement made her glare at him and Gibson just scoffed.

"What the hell was that for?" Liam turned to the butler with a disappointed facial expression, after the girls had left.

"It was a test, sir," Gibson put his hands behind him as he faced Liam.

"What for?" Liam was still upset.

"Your father wanted me to find out if you can contain your libido. Being his heir and successor, you'd be approached by women. Some would be sent by enemies and others would want to take what's yours. So he wanted to know if you could resist women or fall into their trap because of their beauty."

Liam chuckled to himself and put his hands on his waist, "Believe me when I say I'm not moved by looks or curvaceous bodies. I've only loved one woman. And I don't think I'd be stupid enough to get fooled by another."

Gibson nodded with a satisfied glint in his eyes.

Suddenly something happened.

A beefy man approached Liam from behind and threw him over the floor.

"What's happening?" Liam didn't even finish with his question when he was punched in the face.

"Gibson?" He was wincing in pain as he called out to the butler. Wondering what the hell was happening.

Gibson stopped the unknown man before he could punch Liam again.

"Trying to check your anger management, master Liam. Your father wanted me to know this too."
