57 The Right Time

“I told you, you won’t be able to succeed in the outside world!” Shirley’s words became dinner for Marcel, who appeared on his doorstep a few weeks later

Seeing her daughter-in-law in a confused and unclear state, Reina hurriedly pulled her in and prepared a plate of food.

“You proved you couldn’t do anything out there, right?” Reina criticized when Marcel sat in the kitchen and faced a cup of tea that Reina had provided. “Look at you, so shabby.”

Marcel sighed, he hadn’t had time to change his clothes after returning from the project site.

“You’ve been fighting?” Reina asked probings because Marcel’s shirt was torn at the sleeve. “What do you actually do?”

Herman looked at Marcel sharply and said, “From the start, I have emphasized to you to follow my advice. You don’t have any capital, but you have the style of trying to do business for yourself outside ... Now what are you proud of about yourself?”

Marcel took a breath, “I just didn’t have time to shower after work.”

“Work?”
