It was raining heavily at nine O'clock in the evening in Citadel City.

Finnick Lachlan was on his bed in his dorm room, staring at the ceiling while his two roommates snore away.

Then his cell phone suddenly rang.

He quickly answered it to avoid waking up his roommates.

“Hey, I need a box of Trojan condoms and two packs of tissues. Send them to room 1201 of the Luxe Hotel. Hurry up!”

It was Jerome Danvers from school.

“Alright,” Finn shook his head with a low scoff.

‘That horny fool is at it again. How does he always forget to make full preparations before having sex? If it wasn’t for the tip…’

Finn needed Jerome’s money since his girlfriend had always wanted to try the newly opened Michelin restaurant for a long time, but he was just too poor to afford it, although he had been saving money for it for a while.

With this tip, it would be close to enough to finally be able to buy dinner for his girlfriend.

Finn quickly got off the bed, put on a raincoat, and headed out into the rain on his motorcycle, making his way into the city’s Quick Stop Convenience Store.

He got everything Jerome needed and went on his way.

The road was dark, wet, and slippery, and the heavy rain was blurring his vision. Finn fell over when passing a pond.

“Shit,” he cursed in frustration. He was a sorry sight, soaked to the skin. He got off the ground, and lifted the motorcycle, making sure the goods were not wet and still intact. Luckily, they were.

He climbed his motorcycle once again and continued hurrying to the hotel. When he got there, he entered the lobby, bringing his phone out of his pocket, and staring at the unanswered messages he sent to his girlfriend.

“Dana, have you fallen asleep?”

“Dana, I guess you must have slept off. Have a sweet dream.”

“Dana, I would like to take you out this weekend.”

He let out a deep sigh as he walked into an elevator, clicking the required floor number.

He shrugged things off and put his phone back into his pocket because he felt no reason to feel worried.

Although Dana had been feeling indifferent toward his incompetence lately, arguing with him all the time, he understood she had her reasons. He wouldn't blame her since he wasn't as rich as other students in school.

Dana, one of the school’s beauties, chose him, so that had to count for something.

Very soon though... just very soon…

The phone in his pocket interrupted his thoughts as it buzzed. He brought it out and saw a message from Jerome.

“Finnick Lachlan, what’s keeping you from getting here?! My damn arrow is already fitted to the string, how long are you gonna keep me waiting?! Get here as soon as possible! Hurry! Don't forget you can’t do without the $40 tip, loser!!!”

If he can't get the tip, how can he treat Dana to a big meal?

Finn took a deep breath, keeping his anger in check, and waited for the elevator to open. The moment it did, he rushed to find Room 1201. Then he knocked on the door.

He stood in front of the door, waiting for a while, but no one opened it.

‘Didn’t that bastard messaged me just now?” Finn thought with a frown.

Then he began to hear moaning sounds coming from inside the room.

“They’ve already started?” he pondered, running his hand through his dirty blonde hair that was wet due to the rain, and knocked on the door again.

“Mr. Danvers, I have the thing you need…”

But before he finished his words, the door was opened and a familiar face came into his eyes.

At one glance, Finn seemed to be struck by lightning and his whole body became stiff.

His face went blank and he almost forgot how to organize a sentence.

“Dana…”

The woman in front of him was his girlfriend. Dana Bradly.

Dressed in a white robe with her black and shoulder-length hair hung down on her shoulders, Dana also seemed surprised.

Finn shook his head, still perplexed, “ Dana… what? What are you doing here?” he was in utter disbelief.

Dana’s face darkened and she gave Finn a slap.

“Finn, you bastard! I can't believe you have the guts to stalk me now! How dare you follow me here, huh? How dare you?!”

Finn was shocked by the slap.

Before he could react, he heard a man’s voice from inside the room.

“I was the one who asked him to get us what we needed. Hey, even with the heavy rain outside, he's really fast, isn't he? For only forty bucks, he arrived in just a few minutes…” Jerome’s words were full of sarcasm.

Then he walked over and put his arm around Dana’s waist, looking at Finn triumphantly with a towel wrapped around his waist.

Finn wasn't a fool. Clearly, Dana was cheating on him. The ridiculous part of all of this was that he had brought condoms for a man to freely fuck his girlfriend.

It made him feel pathetic.

Finn, always one to act in anger, threw a punch at Jerome. “How dare you!“

Jerome was about to fight back, but Dana got in their middle and glared at Finn’s angry face.

“You better stop!” she stood in front of Finn.

After a brief panic, she soon calmed down.

“Let’s break up!” she shouted at him with a sharp voice.
