Chapter 3: The Outstanding Candidate

Ron sat down at the middle corner of the hall. Victoria Park began sharing the scripts for the job application test.

The other applicants still gossiped about him and his clothes. They mocked him, betting that he would get the lowest score on the test.

But Ron just folded his arms across his chest, waiting in silence for his paper so he could get this over with.

"No cheating, Ron!" Obnoxious Henry called out from across the grand hall. "And try not to wet your pants too much!"

He laughed with the group around him until Ms. Victoria hushed them up. When she finished sharing the scripts, the grumblings increased.

"What the hell is this?!"

"I didn't sign up for a statistical math job. This is just crazy."

"I got the best grades in an Ivy League college. How are my answers not in the options?!"

It had only been just a minute, and so many of the applicants had sweat pouring from their faces. The room was tense.

Only Ron looked calm and composed amongst the fifty of them. His hand hadn't stopped moving since Ms. Victoria asked them to begin.

Henry was red with rage when he noticed this. And his page was still blank. He slapped his hand on his desk and shot to his feet.

"Ms. Victoria! Ron is cheating!" He shouted atop his lungs.

She hurried over with her big breasts bouncing in front of her and stopped everyone from writing.

"Why do you say so, Henry?"

Henry held the edge of his desk, looking around the room. "He's with his cell phone. I saw him bring it out twice."

Everyone gasped at Henry's revelation. They hadn't imagined that someone would have the guts to cheat during a professional test.

Ron raised his head when the woman came over to his desk. She saw that he had already answered a few questions.

"Stand up immediately!" She ordered, searching his body as soon as he obeyed.

Ron felt intruded. Her breasts kept rubbing on him as she searched his front and back pockets.

"I did no such thing, Ms. Victoria," he said once she had found nothing on him.

But Henry spared an evil smirk. "He's hiding it underneath his seat."

He didn't even let the woman do it herself. Henry came over and took out the cellphone for everyone to see.

Chaos spread in the room. Ms. Victoria fisted her hands at her side in anger. She slapped Ron in the face.

"Get out of here this instant!"

"That phone doesn't belong to me."

"Famous words of every cheater," Henry scoffed, holding the device tight.

Ms. Victoria warned again. "Leave this instant, or I will call security to bundle you out of here!"

Ron raised his hand, cutting her short like she was making too much noise in his ear. "I will only leave if you can prove that phone belongs to me."

Immediately, Henry shouted. "Call security, Ms. Victoria! This cheat is acting so arrogant and unrepentant—"

Despite how tight he held the phone, Ron took it out of his hold in one fluid motion. He tried the face ID on himself, and it didn't work.

He said, "Bring your face."

But Henry dodged the phone's camera lense and Ms. Victoria had started to understand what was really going on.

Security entered the room, and she ordered them to hold Henry down. Ron tried the face ID on him, and it worked at once.

"See? This phone belongs to Henry. Not me," Ron announced, tossing it at the liar's feet before returning to his test.

The security guards bundled a screaming Henry out of the hall while Ms. Victoria allowed the applicants to continue writing again.

A short while later, Ron raised his hand, calling the woman's attention..

"No, you're not allowed to use the restroom," Ms. Victoria rolled her eyes at him and continued patrolling each aisle.

Someone giggled, "He probably wants to escape!"

They all laughed in his face, but Ron ignored the rest of the applicants and walked up to Ms. Victoria, holding his script.

"I thought I told you to sit back down and finish your test—"

Ron bent his head again and smirked, "I'm through with the test."
