Chapter 66:

The thought consumed Ron and it was only broken by Adina’s orders to Victoria.

“Stay back, one fuck-up going to the meet is enough for me. I don't need two.”

“There's nowhere to stay and you are with the key to the car,” Victoria protested.

“Do I look like I care, because I really don't.” Her stomach crumpled in its own protest. Adina winced harder than before.

Ron came closer to her, placing his hand on her shoulder. Adina shrugged it off. “Remove your filthy self from my person.”

The automatic doors opened up to her and she walked in leaving Ron behind. Ron turned to an ashen Victoria and gave her a wink. “You'll be fine and I'll kill it, I promise.”

Ron met up with Adina before the elavator shut him off. He and her spent seconds in silence.

“Who are we meeting today, all you've done is keep me in the dark about the person.” Ron spoke up.

“I do not owe you anything, just be on your best behaviour, if at all you have any of that in you,” She snapped back at him.
