Since the first time he entered into a life-and-death contract with White, Eryk thought that summoners could only control summoned spirits. However, when he met Barbro and the other summoners, Eryk had a new perspective.

Summoners control the summoned spirits and the living creatures around them according to their respective abilities. Every living thing has a spirit or soul within itself.
