Chapter 17: Basement

Just as Ronald had expected, Rika ran to the right of the wooden crate, and as soon as she poked her head out, the muzzle of his gun was pressed directly to her temple. Ronald pressed the tip of the gun to Rika's face close enough that she could feel the lingering burn and the oddly strong smell of gunpowder. She knew that she had no other choice, so she surrendered to Ronald like an obedient prey waiting to die under the lion's claws: "Are you crazy? Did you know we're on a goddamn plane and it's carrying a bunch of goddamn possessions?"

Rika's panicked look had absolutely no effect on Ronald's cool composure. He looked at her from head to toe, his eyes flickering with contempt. For the first time, Rika felt fear in the face of strangers, she did not understand why her legs became so weak that she could not stand: "Give me back Kent's bag?"

"He took money from Orochi Gang, so I have the right to take it back." Rika raised an eyebrow at Ronald but he purposely clenched
