What the hell was I supposed to do now?

Waking up from my earlier stint with the killer bear, the twins had quickly moved to make sure that I was doing well despite the drain I had subjected to my system. Lace had urged me to not get out of bed, and Love had made quick work of the bear corpse that laid undisturbed outside. I protested against the babying, of course, but I was both outnumbered and outgunned in terms of pushing my own will against them if they really wanted otherwise. Not to mention the fact that I was positively sure that I was running a slight fever from sheer exhaustion.

"Hey..." I called out to Lace who seemed to be cooking something in a pot. A stew or soup, perhaps? "How're you guys doing?"
