Chapter 36: Rayden's Escape

Amidst the eruption of conflict between Boss Joe and the Village Paktol, Rayden's allegiance faltered. Disgusted with his companions, he spat on their loyalty before fate intervened. In the chaos of their attempted escape, Rayden plummeted into a concealed sinkhole, disappearing from sight.

Dazed and disoriented, he found himself in a cavernous darkness, groping blindly for any semblance of direction. Crawling on hands and knees, he pressed forward until the faint glimmer of a tunnel caught his eye.

With nothing but determination guiding him, Rayden ventured into the unknown depths, each step fraught with uncertainty until, inevitably, he tumbled once more into the abyss below.

As Rayden stirred from his slumber, he found himself in a humble abode, the scent of herbs mingling with the warmth of a crackling fire. An elderly woman bustled around, her hands moving with practiced grace as she tended to his wound.

"Easy now, young man," the woman said, her voice carrying a soothing lilt.
