Chapter 6: The Bank Incident

Then, Irene got a call from Mr Spencer to return to London immediately. So, she could not accompany her young master to take care of his bank account.

But before she left Killian in the city's courtyard of the very famous Royal Bank. Irene first sent a text message to the Chairman of the Royal Bank to welcome their VVIP guest.

Of course, receiving an SMS from the Spencer Group's important person, the Royal Bank's president was shocked. The man rushed downstairs to welcome their VVIP guest.

But before the Chairman arrived, there was a minor incident with Killian. The man stepped in with his clothes. Killian wore worn-out jeans and a slightly shabby shirt as he needed more time to change or buy new clothes.

"Stop!" one of the foreign-faced security guards yelled, startling Killian. He thought Killian was a beggar.

"Who? Me?" replied Killian, pointing at himself.

"If not you, who else. You beggar. Go away!" the man snapped harshly.

"I'm not a beggar or whatever you think I am. I'm here because I want to meet Piere or whatever his name is," Killian argued exasperatedly.

"What did you say? A beggar like you wants to meet Mr Piere, the Chairman of the Royal Bank?" he said in surprise.

"Don't dream!" said the security guard insulting Killian while pushing Killian's body away from the bank.

He pushed Killian's body back and almost fell because he did not expect such rude treatment when he first came to the bank where he deposited his money.

After composing himself, Killian stepped towards the security guard who had pushed him earlier. Killian's hands were clenched tightly, indicating that he wanted to beat the arrogant security guard. Then Killian grabbed the security guard's shirt and intended to hit him.

"Stop! What are you doing?" yelled a young woman, around 22 years old, stopping Killian's action.

Killian lowered his hand, which was about to hit the security guard, when he heard a scream from the new arrival.

"What's going on?" the manager asked unhappily.

"Miss Stella!" the security guard replied fearfully.

"Here's a hobo beggar claiming to want to see President Piere. I'm just trying to stop him. It's obvious from his clothes that he's not our customer, but this beggar doesn't seem to give up on getting leftovers from this bank," the security guard said lightly in his defence.

He wanted to curry favour with the Royal Bank's finance manager, hoping to receive praise or a hefty year-end bonus.

Miss Stella observed Killian's appearance for a moment. From top to bottom. Killian indeed wore out the trousers he was wearing. His shirt was also very shabby—no shoes, but no new sandals. So, without needing to ask again. Stella had already deduced that Killian was a raggedy beggar trying his luck at the famous bank for food.

"Drag him out of here! Call your other friends!" Stella ordered suddenly.

"If he still resists. Break his hands," Stella continued.

As soon as the security got the order from the woman Stella, The guard who had been arguing with Killian called three other colleagues to help him.

The three bank security guards rushed to come after being called by their leader and immediately acted to try to catch Killian.

When Killian's body was in their hands, they intended to drag him out of the Royal Bank courtyard. The people inside the bank heard the commotion and tried to find out what had happened.

So did the people passing by on the street. They also stopped to find out what had happened in the bank courtyard.

"Are there thieves or robbers in the famously safe bank?" they wondered.

If it was confirmed that the man whom four security guards were surrounding was a thief, then his fate was very unlucky; instead of getting lucky, he would be beaten by the bank guards.

Killian's body, which four bank guards had held, stiffened, and suddenly, with a single blow, he threw the four in all directions.

People who saw the incident were astonished. How could such a weak-looking Killian make the four security guards be thrown away without being able to put up any resistance?

Stella, who was still there, became very surprised. She expected a person who was not underestimated and looked down upon could defeat four well-trained security guards.

She saw the four bank guards helpless. The woman named Stella used a dirty trick by shouting, "Thief! Please catch him! He's trying to rob this bank. Call the police!"

The woman shouted to the people on the street and inside the bank until a voice broke the tension.

"Stop it!" someone shouted in a heavy voice.

The people trying to arrest Killian backed away when they saw a middle-aged man coming out of the bank door.

"What are you doing?" he growled.

"Whoever he is, don't act rashly," he said again, frightening the four security guards and Stella.

Then the middle-aged man looked Killian up and down. He didn't find Killian to be an honoured guest he wanted to meet. But as a person with decades of experience. The middle-aged man tried to be friendly to Killian.

"If I may know, for what purpose did you come to this Royal Bank?" asked the middle-aged man as politely as possible.

"Are you the one named Piere?" Killian asked back, without answering the middle-aged man's question first.

With his professional demeanour, the middle-aged man replied, "Yes, I am Piere. If I may know. Who am I dealing with at the moment? And what is your purpose in coming to this bank?"

"Have you received a message from Irene Adler about the arrival of a guest in your office?" asked Killian once again, without wanting to answer Piere's question.

He was getting a question like that. Piere's body shivered. Then the man hurriedly walked towards Killian. Once he arrived, Piere immediately bent his body 90 degrees towards Killian.

"Mr Spencer. Please forgive this ignorant older man. I didn't even greet you properly," Piere said as politely as possible because he knew what would happen if Killian got angry.

Stella and the four security guards, as well as the people, gathered around the Royal Bank, were taken aback by the behaviour of Piere, who was notorious for not bowing down to anyone. But today, they saw with their own eyes. Piere bowed his head to a hobo or beggar that the four security guards had tried to drive away.

Stella then tried to digest the situation; then ventured to ask her superior.
