"How is it, sir? Are you interested?" the saleswoman asked, still excited.
"How should I do? It's a nice car, but I don't have that much money. I only have 920,000 euros left in my savings; there’s no way I can afford such an expensive car," the man thought anxiously.
"Leona! Let's look at the other car first. I think that car over there is better than that one," he reasoned.
While grumbling, the young woman, Leona, moved towards the other car her partner mentioned. When she passed Killian, her frustration grew.
"What are you looking at, you hooligan? Ptooey!" she scolded while spitting at Killian.
He was getting insulted like that. Killian was angry and wanted to throw his hands at the bold woman, but he held back as much as possible.
The man beside the woman was also silent. But when he saw Killian's hands clenched. The man became angry.
"What kind of person are you? You only dare to hit women. If you want to hit her, come and fight me," he said sarcastically.
Unable to vent his anger on a woman, the man became his victim.
Pluck!
"Teach that woman of yours, don't be insolent to others," Killian growled.
"How dare you!" he scolded.
Before he could finish his sentence, Killian signalled, pointing his index finger at the man.
"Let's settle this outside after this. My name is Killian, and I will not run. Just wait if you dare!" Killian threatened again.
The man whom Killian had slapped was stunned. No one had dared to deal with him, let alone beat him.
The man was the heir to the wealth and power of a third-rate wealthy family in Birmingham. His family had a reputation for being highly terrible in their behaviour. But the person who slapped him was far more terrifying than the man could have imagined.
The people there were silent, not expecting that Killian would dare to provoke the heir of the notorious Maverick family.
The showroom's head manager arrived, receiving a report from his subordinates that there had been a commotion on the ground floor where the cars were being marketed.
The woman rushed down to see what was happening. When she arrived, she was shocked. A shabbily dressed man was bullying the heir to Birmingham's wealthy and influential family.
"Stop!" the woman shouted; then she hurriedly approached the man who was being bullied.
"Mr Maverick. I apologise for this incident. I'll deal with that bastard," the manager said confidently.
Then she called the showroom's security guards. Five people immediately came to answer her call.
"Arrest him! Break his hand for daring to hit Mr Maverick, our important guest today," she shouted.
"Wait! I came here to buy a car, but your employees are rude," Killian said defensively.
"Buy a car? How capable are you, a riff-raff like you, of buying a car? Let alone a car; I don't think you'd be able to afford an electric bike," rebutted the manager arrogantly.
"I have money, and I can buy a car here. Even the most expensive one," Killian defended as he threw a silver-grey card in the manager's face.
Pluck! - There was the sound of a light object falling to the floor.
"What is it?" wondered the showroom manager a little fearfully.
"T... th... this!" she shouted in surprise.
"Swipe it on the card reader. I want to buy the car in that room. To be honest, I have no interest in dealing in your showroom. But I need a car to go shopping outside. So hurry up with the transaction," Killian snapped angrily.
"You liar, braggart! You think holding a card like that makes you rich. It can be bought online," Robert chided, provoking Killian.
"That's a true miss. This riff-raff has been wanting to buy a car. But it looks like he's just hallucinating in high style. His clothes are so shabby, bought on the side of the road. How could he possibly buy such an expensive car?" the arrogant saleswoman said with a sycophantic air.
"Jessica, this useless scum man is fantasising about owning a car. But you should know he is an outcast son-in-law. His ex-wife's family recently kicked him out. Daily, he eats with his ex-wife. How could he possibly have any money?" Robert explained, feeling great.
Whether or not to believe the showroom manager was in a dilemma. Whom should she listen to? As soon as the woman had made up her mind, the director of the car showroom suddenly arrived, accompanied by two bodyguards.
"What's going on?" he exclaimed, booming into the room.
Everyone was silent, including Robert, but only for a moment.
"Mr Hugo! It's good that you came. Otherwise, your dignified showroom would continue to be littered with that useless rubbish. That man is an exiled son-in-law of the Smith family. He dreams of buying a car at your showroom. So do your best to make him think twice about coming here again," Robert provoked.
Hugo paid no attention to Robert. Instead, he strides towards Killian with a haughty demeanour.
In his eyes, Killian was nothing more than a begging hobo who had defiled the showroom. But as an experienced person, he didn't want to ruin his reputation just because of a trivial matter.
"Is it true that you want to buy a car in my showroom?" Hugo asked Killian patronisingly.
"That's right! I wanted to buy that car, but your employees and your manager took me for granted. Is this how service is at your place?" asked Killian with a high intonation.
"Do you have the ability to own that car? Don't you know, that car is the latest model this year. The price is very high. Can you afford it?" asked Hugo patronisingly.
"Let alone a car. I can even afford your showroom," Killian defends angrily.
"What? Get real!"
"Crazy!" shouted the people who witnessed the incident. But Killian was ignorant of the surroundings. He was getting fed up, fed up with the people there.
"Now, this is it. Let's make a bet. If I could buy that car, what would you bet?" Killian angrily challenged Hugo and the others.
"Ha..ha..ha... Who the hell do you think you are?" said Robert arrogantly.
"Gentlemen, please calm down!" Hugo snarls at Robert. He was more interested in Killian's challenge than in serving Robert.
Robert was getting such a harsh scolding. He felt offended and decided to leave the place.
Then without looking back, Robert rushed out. But before leaving, he had time to say, "Watch out not to be fooled by that hobo."
"All right then. I'll kneel at your feet if you can buy that car and call you an honourable man. But if you lie, I'll break your hand," Hugo threatened Killian.
"Good! What about you, sales lady?" asked Killian intimidatingly.
"Me? Why me?" she retorted.
"You've doubted my abilities. Do you want to bet with me too?" Killian asked him the same question again.
"Who's afraid! I'll bow at your feet if you can buy that car and willingly get fired. But if you lose, you'll have to hurt your filthy mouth," she replied ambiguously.
"What about you, manager? Do you want to bet, too?" asked Killian with certainty.
"I... I don't dare, sir," she replied fearfully, as she knew it looked like the card Killian showed her was a titanium card.
"You guys just wait. I'll prove I can buy that junk car," Killian shouted angrily.
"Now, bring the card reader over here! I want you to show me that I'm capable enough to buy it," Killian confidently challenged them.
Hearing Killian's confident words, director Hugo was shocked and looked at his manager questioningly.
"Jessica! What card is this man referring to?" asked Hugo.
"Sir. It's that gentleman's titanium card," Jessica replied nervously.
"What, titanium card?" asked Hugo as he tried to snatch it from Jessica's hand.
As someone who has lived in high society for a long time, he knew what the titanium card meant. Only some people can have the card. If Killian could have it, it meant he had an unusual background.
The director's body was already starting to shiver. The sky seemed to be falling on his head right now. But it was a pity that everything had happened.
"Damn it! Why did I let my guard down like this? If I can't handle it. I'm finished now," he grumbled to himself.
"Quick, get the card reader over here. Why are you guys so slow?" shouted Killian impatiently.
Not long after. A male employee arrived, bringing the card reader. Hugo, who was given it, immediately took the machine, then swiped the card he was holding into the reader; then, there was a "Ting" sound, a sign of a successful transaction.
Now his body was in a daze. The card reader slipped out of his hand but was quickly caught by the employee.
Bang! "T-this can't be. How did it happen? W-who exactly are you?" asked Hugo, trembling. "No way! No way! It must be a mistake," said the showroom saleswoman with her body starting to sweat. "The machine must be broken. It can't be right," chirped another. On the other hand, Jessica was not so surprised but was stunned and gawked. She knew from the start that the card Killian showed her was not just any card. So after being proven, it turned out to be true. "This is my chance to get close to him, but can he forgive me?" Jessica thought to herself. "S-Sir, if I may know, who am I currently dealing with?" Hugo is already starting to be respectful to Killian. "Doesn't the card have my account name on it? As well as some brief personal details. You certainly know who I am," Killian responded. "Yes. Sir is right. Come, Sir, I will serve you in my private room," he said modestly, trying to curry favour. "No need. You take care of the necessary car papers. I'll be ten minutes. I'm i
The car he was driving continued to speed up, cutting through the city streets, and entered the courtyard of a five-star hotel. From the name alone, Killian knew from Irene that the hotel belonged to him. Killian parked the car next to the hotel. It was quiet, and no one saw him park his vehicle there. Incidentally, the security guard on duty had a nature call in the washroom. Meanwhile, the other four were changing shifts. So at the time of the shift change, Killian entered the hotel courtyard without going through another check. The hotel that Killian visited was vast and grand. It occupies an area of 27 acres. It was up to 50 floors high, with many varied rooms available. Available rooms include standard room, superior room, deluxe room, junior suite room, suite room, president suite or penthouse suite, single room, twin room, double room, family or triple room, connecting room, murphy room, accessible or disabled room, smoking or non-smoking room, cabana room and so on. "You're only measuring money. It's more than money!" Killian exclaimed irritably."Check with the card reader. Whether the card has money on it or not!" he growled.Manager Shelby, who saw Killian throw the silver-grey object on the table, was shocked. Although Shelby had never seen what the card looked like, she had heard of someone who had it. The owner was a person who could not be offended. They were finished if it confirmed that the card had money and the owner was Killian! All this time, they had been degrading and insulting Killian without listening to the man's reasoning. One word Killian said, they answered two, more Killian said, they answered even more. It only was when Killian threw a titanium card in front of the receptionist's eyes that they fell silent, including manager Shelby. Her body trembled, imagining what her boss would say if he knew what happened in the hotel lobby. It turned out that what Shelby's manager was afraid of came true. The hotel's boss, the general
Killian lay down on the super-luxurious bed, casting his eyes around the room."Amazing!" he marvelled. Then Killian got up from the bed, walked over and inspected the entire contents of the room he had rented. In the President's suite, Killian's eyes were stunned. It displayed things he had never encountered before in front of his eyes. There were so many luxurious facilities available. There were three rooms, complete with bathrooms. It covered each bed in luxurious spherical sheets, pillows, and speakers nearby. Then there are two living rooms, including one with a classical piano. There is a large dining table in the dining room. There is also a fridge containing non-alcoholic drinks and plenty of free snacks. There is a small kitchenette with a dry pub pantry—a fridge for storing frozen food and a microwave. There is also an espresso machine and variants of Darjeeling and golden tips tea.Three branded luxury microfibre bathrooms have three glass-walled showers and a jacuzzi. The
"Wow! It's already morning. I was exhausted all day, so I slept soundly last night," Killian murmurs almost inaudibly."I'd better hurry to shower, have breakfast, and wait for Irene to come to pick me up," Killian said to himself.Forty-five minutes later, Killian was finished showering, dressed neatly, with blue trousers, slightly dull, wearing footwear that was available in the room but not shoes.Confidently, he stepped into the available lift in front of his room. There was a unique lift for important guests, which did not mix with ordinary guests' charges.Once inside, Killian's fingers immediately pressed the ground floor number. A few moments later, Killian was at his destination.Arriving at the ground floor, Killian tried to find the restaurant where he wanted to eat. His eyes kept searching everywhere."Ah, why don't I just ask the hotel staff?" he thought, regretting his stupidity."Excuse me!" he said when he passed a female employee at the hotel, but she was not wearing
The four who saw Killian's silence while nodding their heads, thinking that he had forgiven them, were wrong. "For this matter, let's finish it after I eat breakfast, or next time, because I have important business to attend to," Killian said expressionlessly. "Now show me where this hotel restaurant is. I'm going to get some breakfast. I'll be picked up soon. Hurry up and show me!" Killian said, annoyed. "I apologise, sir. For an important guest, all the necessities have been sent to your suite, including breakfast," the head restaurant replied modestly. His demeanour had changed 180 degrees, no longer as arrogant as before. So did the executive chef. "I see!" Killian replied briefly, then took his leave, without a care in the world for those standing there dumbfounded. "Go get Mr Killian, and serve him well!" came a voice from a distance, which turned out to be that of their general manager. "Yes, sir!" they replied in unison
Killian chuckled to himself at hearing Irene being called madam by one of the servers in the shopping centre when they had just entered one of the shops. "Didn't she recognise Irene before? Oh, maybe a new employee; it’s appropriate not to recognise Irene, a regular and respected customer at the store." "Call the manager of this shop. I want to talk!" said an annoyed Irene, who had just entered one of the shops. "Sorry, ma'am, he can't be disturbed," she replied briefly. "I see!" Irene was annoyed, and without wanting to linger any longer and waste time, Irene immediately took out her phone, selected a contact number and pressed it. Not long after, in a room of the shop on the third floor, they heard a phone call, and the owner glanced to see who was calling him. Upon seeing the name on his phone, the store manager hurriedly picked up the phone. "Hello, Miss Adler. How can I help you?" he respectfully said into the phone. "You come out to the front right now! I'm in your shop. P
There was no way for Killian and Irene to get into the mobile phone shop, as the shoppers took turns asking Killian to take a photo with them in front of his car.Killian couldn't dodge as the news-crazed crowd continued to press in on him.Seeing the incident, Irene took the initiative to call 50 Spencer family bodyguards to come within 60 seconds. Meanwhile, Killian continued to be besieged by people who wanted to get his photo without being able to evade or refuse. Not long after, fifty well-built men arrived, bursting into the crowd near Killian and driving them away. The aggressive appearance of the bodyguards made the people crowd Killian frown and retreat in an orderly manner, even though, in their hearts, they grumbled because they had lost the opportunity to get a photo with the owner of the luxury car.Now that Killian's position is freed from the crowd, Irene rushes over to him and then bows respectfully to Killian, followed by the fifty bodyguards. They knew Killian's iden
