Crushed Spirit

Volley punches resounded, sweat glistened his biceps as they tightened, pulling his arm back and explode with a side hook, swinging the chains of the heavy bag. “Cool it champ!” a sweet voice slipped into his ears. “What’s got you worked up?” a neon blue fingernail brought him a towel. He hummed while dabbing the towel on his face and swiped it down his chin.

With a solemn expression, he passed her like an unfeeling robot; fully autonomous. Pricking her seventh sense with concern, she walked to his side and pressed on, without regards of coming off annoying. She punched his shoulder. “Stop locking me out. Aren’t I your girlfriend?”
