• A Vow

Cyrus had his gun pointed at Ethan, but before he could pull the trigger the soldier who had rescued Ethan lunged forward, kicking the gun away from lord Cyrus's grip.

The gun hit the floor with a clatter, and he and Cyrus began to struggle. “Go!” The man said to Ethan.

Ethan was still skeptical, he wasn't just going to abandon this man here. Jax grabbed Ethan by the shoulder and pulled him backwards.

“You can't stay here and try to fight, you can't win this, not like this.”

Ethan wanted to argue, but he knew what Jax was saying was true. “C’mon let's go! We can still make it!” Ethan said, trying to reason with the man who was pinning Cyrus down.

“Just go before the rest of them come here and kill all of us!”

Without being left with much of a choice, Ethan and Jax had to make a run for it. “Do you have any idea where they kept the other men?” Ethan asked.

“Sir I respect your decisions, we cannot rescue these men, not in our current state.”
