• The Worse It Gets

Skyler and Elizabeth were hiding in their rooms, their backs pressed against the wall. Irene held out her fun, her vigilant eyes fixed on the door.

Two strange men had broken into the house and there was no doubt that they were coming for Elizabeth and Skyler.

Just then the shrill of a phone ringing filled the air and Skyler's eyes widened, it was her phone ringing. She immediately accepted the call so that the sound of the ringing would end.

“I'll call you back,” Skyler whispered in a shaky voice and just before she could hang up a gunshot ripple through the air, making her flinch and drop the phone.

The screen cracked up on impact to the ground and the phone went off instantly. Irene looked back at the two women tucking her gun behind her.

“You two stay here, don't come out no matter what. I'll go check out what's going on outside.”

Elizabeth and Skyler I wanted to stop her but they were defenseless either way, so they nodded.
