Valerie made her way through the sea of people, stopping in front of the unconscious man who was barely breathing.

She squinted her eyes as she looked at his familiar features. “Valerie,” Monica called out as she struggled to pave her way through the shoulders blocking her.

“I know this man, he's the doctor that treated Skyler,” Valerie whispered under her breath. Her friend was completely oblivious to what she was saying and just stood there, confused.

“Somebody, help! Get the paramedics!” Valerie instructed, getting down on her knees and holding his head.

She pressed her ears against his chest to check if he was still alive. Eventually, she could detect a faint pulse which translated to the fact that he was alive.
