Kayla continued relentlessly giving him CPR until his body finally jerked. Water jetted out of his nostrils and mouth and his eyes shot open.

His eyes fluttered for a little while, trying to adjust to the environment before he finally sat upright. His head was still banging and he would still feel pain all over his body.

He swept his gaze around the three people hovering around him. “Where am I?” Those were the first words to come out of his mouth.

“Joanna village, it's a seaside village,” Kayla explained, relieved that he was still alive. “Thank God my father found you one time, 1 minute later and you might have not made it.”

His mind was still juggling with confusion. “What?... What are you talking about?” He got on his feet despite their efforts to keep him on the bench. “What am I doing here? How did I get here?” He questioned.

Marcus shared a look with his daughter and wife. “I don't know, I found you washed up by the shoreline, unconscious.”

Timothy was still staring at the script in his hands in disbelief. How could she score 99% on his test? Even he himself wouldn’t score that high on the test without the marking scheme by his side. He adjusted his necktie and stared at Skyler. “What happened Mr. Timothy? Cat bit your tongue?” She questioned, a hint of sarcasm in her tone. A scowl began to form on his face and even Amy, who was already standing, wasn’t too pleased with the outcome so she folded her arms against her chest. “With his fingers he began to trace the test script, hoping to find some sort of error. “Mr. Timothy, if you're trying to check whether or not I made a mistake, don't waste your time because I’m confident in my answer.”He clenched his jaw, “You cheated!” he yelled, startling her. “Yes, I remember, you along with that young man, you two sat together. And the girl with the glasses wasn\t too far off.” He tried to accuse them because he couldn’t comprehend how they would score so highly when his own s

Everyone was still in shock, their hearts in their mouths as they watched Ethan punch the man. Even Ethan himself was shocked by his actions. He glared at his slightly reddened knuckles. He had no memory of who he was, but all he knew was that he was overwhelmed by the urge to protect them. The other two men approached him, one of them landing a punch on his face which sent him crashing against the wall. His reflexes were a little rusty since he didn’t quite remember that he was a commander with top notch combat skills. “Watch out!” Kayla screamed at the top of her lungs when she saw one of the men pick up a chair and tried to attack him with it. He dodged and the chair crashed against the wooden wall, causing bits of it to chip off. He leaned and ran into the man, his shoulders ramming the man's torso. Within a flash, the man was on the floor as Ethan took him down. The other one tried to intercede but before he could get close enough, Ethan had kicked him in the shin and then jum

Valerie was lying down on the bed, her mind consumed with thoughts as usual. The door opened but she didn't bother to turn to see who it was, usually only two people came in here anyway. It was either Melissa or that scumbag. This was her third day in captivity and she was beginning to lose hope, the place was heavily guarded and so it was difficult for her to be able to escape. She would have to spend a long time here, long enough to gain his trust before she would finally make her move. “Mr Antonio says you can come downstairs to have dinner,” Melissa's voice rang in her ears, jerking her back to reality. She blinked a few times to be sure that she wasn't dreaming. “Me?” She pointed inwards at her chest. “Downstairs, for dinner?” She questioned, thinking her ears were playing tricks on her. Melissa gave her a curt nod in reply. “He's waiting,” she simply stated. With a deep breath Valerie got on her feet, taking slow steps towards the door. She was wearing the nightgown Melis

Therese was crying and holding on to a picture of Renée when she was small. She couldn't help but blame herself for everything that had occurred. Maybe if she had a spine and she had put her foot down, Clifford wouldn't be able to do whatever he wanted and her daughter wouldn't have been forced into marriage to a suicidal psychopath like Jason. There was a knock on the door and when she raised her head to see who it was, it was Clifford. He wore a remorseful look on his face as he stood by the doorframe. She didn't even bother to acknowledge him, she just turned around and shoved the picture of her daughter into the bag.“Therese, let talk-” “We have absolutely nothing to talk about unless it's about you finding Valerie or about Renée’s funeral arrangements,” she said blankly. She walked right past him with her bag and was making her way out. “So that's how it's going to be?! You're just going to leave after everything we've been through together?” His voice boomed from behind he

Marcus was standing just outside the house, folding his fishing net. Cassandra was roasting some fish by the corner. When she was done she would eventually take it to the market to sell. Typically, this was how they made their profits and income for the home. “I’m off to go fishing,” he said to Cassandra. She raised her head, taking her eyes off what she was doing for a moment. “Oh, okay, be safe honey,” she replied as he gathered his tools and began to walk towards the sea, away from the house. Shortly after he had left, he could be seen in the distance arranging the fishing equipment in the boat as he prepared to enter the water. Kayla stepped out of the house wearing a brown and white flowing dress, her hair tightly packed. “So are you going to accompany him to the police station?” her mother asked. She paused then nodded slowly “Yes, we’ll leave together this morning,” she replied to her mother. Inside the house, Ethan had just gotten up from bed, the dream he had last night

He disgusts me,” she said in response. Raul ended up chuckling. “So now that you're class president, I bet Amy and her friends have been trying to pick on you,” he let out, earning him a reprimanding stare from Skyler. Irene adjusted on her seat and shifted forward, placing her elbows on the table as she looked directly into Skyler's eyes. “Is somebody picking on you?”A scoff escaped from Skyler's throat. “No, they couldn't pick on me even if they tried. It's just that these girls like to behave like brats and can be really annoying.”While they were still talking, Skyler spotted Melissa from the corner of her eyes. She was collecting her food tray from the lunch lady and cafeteria. She impulsively raised her hand to c

He can't! I've called the lawyers already, everything is under control.” Larry scoffed, shaking his head slowly. “You guys don't realize it, don't you? At the funeral, Therese was standing in front of Renée’s coffin, trying her heart out when Valerie rolled her wheelchair towards her mother. “Mom,” she called. Therese froze. Could her ears be deceiving her? It couldn't be. She immediately turned around and saw that it was her daughter. “Valerie, you're back,” he replied, joyful tears filling her eyes as she crouched down to hug her daughter. Renée was being buried in the family manor. Guests from all over had begun to arrive and Clifford was too busy trying to network and interact to actually even notice that his second daughter had returned. “I wish she and I hadn't fought. Then she wouldn't have come back to Armoria, none of this would have happened.”Therese grabbed her daughter's face and rubbed it. “Don't say that. It is not your fault, Clifford is the one to blame. He's the one that pushed her into this predicament.”Valerie scoffed. “Why am I not surprised?”“Honey, I think there's something you need to know. Your father a

“My baby, how is my baby?” Valerie asked desperately. “We ran all the scans and your baby miraculously survived. The angle at which you were shot didn't have any contact with your uterus or developing baby whatsoever. And thankfully you were shot from a distance so the bullet didn't do much damage, a little bit of rest and healing and you'll be alright. The only issue is the amount of blood you lost, so will be placing you on some supplements and as well as giving you some dietary suggestions.”Hearing this news from the doctor felt like the light at the end of the tunnel. At least she could finally smile about something. “I just wish Ethan was here and then my family would be complete,” he whispered. Lucy backed away from her. “It's going to be okay.”The lieutenants had no idea that Ethan was still alive, because Natasha hadn't communicated it to them yet. “When can I be discharged and go home?” Valerie asked. “Right now I can see that you're safe for travel so you can go today

Now you have survived, you might not be so lucky next time Ethan.” He paused, placing an arm on Darren's shoulders. “This time, I will be.”Darren watched as Ethan exited the house. He stood by the street at the designated spot and then a black car pulled over and an elderly looking man came out of the car. “You must be Ethan Vanguard,” the man greeted in a thick accent. “Everything you need is in the trunk, and here are the car keys. Please return the car, the last people to use they didn't,” he said, voice dripping with sarcasm. Ethan smirked. “Best believe I will, but it may have some blood stains.” The man's eyes widened upon hearing what E

Skyler jumped out of the car, “hey what are you doing to my mum!” She cried, running towards him. Irene was right behind her while Raul also got down and followed suit. Elizabeth raised her teary eyes to face her daughter who quickly pulled her up from the floor and hugged her. Skyler could see Desmond's driver holding a bag, presumably her mother's bag. Then he stepped out of the gate and then tossed the bag on the floor. This gesture angered Skyler so she lunged forward, managing to give the driver a good slap before Irene held her back.“How dare you bring your filthy selves to our house and try to harass my mother!?”Desmond smirked. “I can see that you haven't changed one bit, you still talk too much. This house belongs to me since your brother is dead now.”His words felt like a physical blow to Skyler. “Don't you dare ever say something like that again, Ethan isn't dead!”“Oh but he is, haven't you seen the news?”Irene walked forward. “Even if Ethan is dead, what makes you

  • • Ethan Remembers

Valerie was on a stretcher and right beside her was Antonio. They were both bleeding out and were rushed to the emergency unit. Just outside the hospital was Melissa, along with Jax, Kieth and Lucy. After Antoni had been shot, his men surrendered, and the police came and cleared the crime scene, making multiple arrests as well as ransacking Antonio’s mansion, an opportunity the local FBI had been dying to get. The three lieutenants were spared from the arrest because the chief of police, who despite recognising what they did as illegal, was happy that they had helped bust Antonio. Now with the overwhelming amount of evidence they had against him, there was no way he could escape jail time. In the emergency room, the nurses huddled around each of the victims. Antonio's wound was to his upper back but the bullet went through and came out of his chest. While Valerie was in the stomach. “We’re losing him, we’re losing him!” The doctor screamed as the life support machine beeped loudly.
