Marcus was standing just outside the house, folding his fishing net. Cassandra was roasting some fish by the corner. When she was done she would eventually take it to the market to sell. Typically, this was how they made their profits and income for the home.

“I’m off to go fishing,” he said to Cassandra. She raised her head, taking her eyes off what she was doing for a moment.

“Oh, okay, be safe honey,” she replied as he gathered his tools and began to walk towards the sea, away from the house. Shortly after he had left, he could be seen in the distance arranging the fishing equipment in the boat as he prepared to enter the water.

Kayla stepped out of the house wearing a brown and white flowing dress, her hair tightly packed. “So are you going to accompany him to the police station?” her mother asked.

She paused then nodded slowly “Yes, we’ll leave together this morning,” she replied to her mother.
