• Shattering Into Bits

Her breath got stuck in her throat when she saw the man. She stumbled backwards, fear gripping her. “Who the hell are you?” She voiced in a shaky voice.

He took off his hoodie, revealing a face she had never seen before. “My boss sent me to you.”

She twisted her head around and realized that she was in a lonely street with men that she wasn't out of danger yet.

“What? Who's your boss? Why did he send you?” She asked, taking small steps backwards as she slowly began reaching into her purse for a pen knife.

His Stoic facial expression was a giveaway to the fact that he was unfazed by whatever she was trying to pull out from her bag.

“My boss is a very important man here in Chelmen, he wants you.”

Valerie knew that this country was the hub of human trafficking and sex work but she never knew that somebody would approach her like this in face to face , attempting to recruit her.
