Chapter 137

Irene, Skyler and Samantha were huddled around the phone. It was a short clip of Skyler picking up the chair and hitting Mason with it.

Everybody was talking about it, she was being seen as a girl boss. “It must have taken some level of guts for you to be able to grab that chair and break it on Mason's back huh?” Sam asked.

“Well, I was just trying to save a friend.”

Irene didn't like the fact that a video like that was circling social media. “Hey, why does your friend look all gloomy?” Samantha pressed on.

Skyler turned to face Irene then she shrugged, “I don't know.”

“I'm not gloomy, I'm worried,” she corrected, her voice sounding irritated. “Imagine what Ethan would-” I really immediately stopped herself as soon as the words flew out, she covered her mouth with her palms.

Samantha seemed to pick up on this and looked between the two of them. “So what exactly is going on? I think I'm left in the dark here.”
