Both the ancient vampire, and the Priestess of the Golden Flame flinched upon hearing Kyle’s footsteps. Their hostile gazes ceased as they both moved away from the marble altar to opposite sides of the grand hall.
“Summoner, good morning.” Irena quickly said, clearly trying to hide the rather intriguing conversation they were having just a moment ago. “The shield holds, and the elves and dwarves have finished the repairs on the cathedral.”
Kyle nodded. They were working fast. Too fast. “Good,” He sat on the pew nearest to the altar. “Did either of you come up with any ideas on how to get rid of this siege?”
Vis let out a sigh. “Just wait it out, Kyle.” She paced the room. “Your precious plateau and the people living on it are safe under Necron’s dome. The humans attacking you will eventually give up and leave. Either that, or they will run out of supplies, and be forced to leave.&rdquo
