Chapter Eighty-Nine

Eileen’s POV

She safely made it out of the Ack Hotel and as a decoy method, she thought of, decided to go straight to a nearby cafe to trick her security guard into thinking that was where she was all this while and that the location device or whatever he placed on her was just glitching.

She entered the cafe that was still open. The bell rang and she went straight to the barista whose eye bags looked like they carried the weight of the whole world.

“Sorry Ma’am, but we're about to close and the last customer just left,” She said, arranging the coffee mug on the shelves at the back of the counter. “Besides we're all out of coffee, so… Please go,” She was exhausted, the words from her lips dragged and fought to even come out.

“No, I don't want coffee, if you can just persist for like a minute or two…Eileen huffed seeing the girl look at her nonchalantly. “Look, money” She dug out a few dollar bills from the back of her trouser pocket. “I will pay for the last minute, please…” She cup
