Aidan’s POV Aidan had walked in on his father interrogating Erica and he wasn't having it. He was called and informed by Sadie that his father was at the penthouse and he immediately knew what the next thing was and what he would be doing to her. And getting there, his father didn't disappoint him.He was still at the suite, just having a normal discussion after excusing Erica to the room when he received a call from a strange number. At first, he ignored the call but upon further calls from this number, he decided to pick it up.“It's me, Eileen,” She said weakly over the phone.Aidan was taken aback by who it was. He instantly felt an uneasiness that churned and tired his stomach into knots as she just left the hotel a couple of hours away. Dread washed over him at first as he thought something terrible must have happened to her.“What happened? Where are you?” He asked in genuine concern as he paced about the floor of the suite. His father furrowed his brows in confusion and anxie
His heart sank and he drew her hand away from Eileen’s own. A drop of tear he fought so hard to take back dropped from his eyes.“He killed my Mom…” He drawled as he puffed an invisible air. He sank back into the car seat, placing his head on the headrest and running his hand through his hair, tousling it up. In a split second, his gray eyes turned cold and dark. A devious grimace appeared on his thinned lips. Even Eileen who sat close to him felt a shift in the aura of the car. She felt chill as a restlessness ran through her body and down her spine. She sort of regretted telling him that she tried to speak again to maybe pacify him.“The accident wasn't planned for her, he didn't mean to harm his sister no matter how cruel he was but it was just unfortunate…” Her words trailed off as Aidan had already opened the door and stepped down from the car. She opened and scampered after him, in an attempt to hold his hand but he shrugged it off indignantly. The car wasn't even parked at t
The news of Frederick Clayton’s arrest spread through the City like wildfire, coupled with his video of making plans to kill Aidan. Before anyone knew what was happening, his office building was filled up with reporters and the media house, trying and fighting hard to get a first glimpse at the Monarch of the City in handcuffs once he'd been led out of the office.A cunning smirk laced his thinned lips as he glared at Eileen and Aidan, feeling fulfilled that he still had a jump on him even in handcuffs.“Your mother was the bane of my existence, right from the very day she was born, she took my mother from me. I should have smothered her in her sleep but instead, I let her grow into a woman and that's the mistake I made” He giggled bitterly.“I could have thrown you out but your father invested in my company hugely then, so the agreement was I took you in and raised you as mine so I don't lose my investment but I shouldn't have agreed” He spat at Eileen and sneered at her. “I should h
The location was sent to his phone and he discovered that he was in a restaurant not too far from where they were probably enjoying his last meal. “Sir, do you want to wait for Malcolm, he's already on his way here, he's coming with more security,” One of his father’s security asked.“No, I don't have time to spare. Every moment I waste only means Rachel is getting far from my hands!” He gritted his teeth as he spoke and balled his fist tightly.“What about your father?” “What about him?” He scowled at the guy.He kept mute and bowed his head. Aidan shot a glance his father’s way and as if they could telepathically communicate, he nodded his head twice and gave a signal for him to do whatever he saw fit. He smiled at him and Aidan shifted his gaze back to the car in front of him. “Let's go!” The security opened the door for him and he entered the car. An extra car filled with bodyguards pulled out of the parking space alongside him. The CPO took a look at Robert and he saw how ind
“Bite me!” He said through drool and gritted teeth. Aidan didn't even let the words come out fully from his mouth when he replaced them with two blows. “Pow!” “Pow!” Zayed wobbled his head around as blood spilled from the cut on his nose, resulting from a broken cartilage. Aidan gripped his collars tightly, as drips of blood dotted on them. He angled his hand backward, his fist balled tightly, ready to deal another blow to him.“Wait!” He yelled out. “I know where he is” He paused and spat out the stained drool in his mouth. He looked him dead in his gray cold eyes laughing. “Do whatever you want, you’ll never get it out of me.” “But nothing will make it come out of my mouth” He sneered and started laughing again. Aidan was so peeved that he moved back, for some seconds before diving and gripping his neck tighter. He lowered his head to his ears. “Keep it, savor it but one thing, you’ll soon join your counterparts in rotting in jail” He snickered. He brought his eyes to his an
The cars arrived at the club entrance. It was empty as it was in the hot afternoon, so it was normal that nobody would be present there, unlike in the night when it's usually parked. They got down from the car with Aidan taking the lead. Zayed saw and cleared his throat. “I know you're the boss and all and the police are already close by, probably even blending with your right security detail, but let me take the lead on this one” He tugged at his hand and held him. The action made Aidan turn and take a look at the said hand before returning it to his upper side. He sighed heavily before releasing and gesturing to him to take the lead. Zayed awkwardly smiled as he took the lead, a bit of uneasiness lacing his demeanor. He moved and Aidan walked beside him, Caleb’s cap still on him to hide his features. “Welcome to Club Saucy,” A young lady dressed in a seductive lacy gown said as they approached the door leading into the club’s open space. “You're quite early for Friday gi
“Bang!” A loud sound was heard through the commotion that was already happening. The police and Aidan’s security busted into the underground club. Now, Aidan had sent a message to Malcolm, showing him the route and the specific way to open the door once the police arrived. He didn't even think they would come in at such an early time. The whole space was filled with the smoke that resulted from the forced entry. Aidan looked over and saw that Zayed was holding the gun at the mouth opening as it was pointed directly at him by Jeremy. He looked closely and saw that he had prevented the shot from getting to him by using his body as a shield. So he took the bullet that was meant for him. He grunted and staggered back, slyly collecting the gun from Jeremy as he fell on Aidan’s hands. “I'm crazy, right?” He asked weakly as he slouched on him, his blood spurting from his mouth. He was still grinning as he held onto his hand.Jeremy on the other hand, was already on the floor, pinned tight
“I have no idea, Boss,” He said, Jeremy sending him signals. Aidan saw right through them.Although Jarum was probably faking the whole play, he knew that he knew Rachel was hidden in that place. He walked away from him and brought his phone back, taking it from the sofa he was sitting on.He got back and flipped through it before he eventually turned the phone to his face. “Who is that right there?” He asked scornfully. Jarum stared at the video, shock written all over him as he realized that was Frederick being led away, in handcuffs. He turned his head and looked over at Jeremy who was being attended to by the paramedics present. Realization drawing on him.“You never told me your father was arrested by him!” His demeanor changed to mad fury. “You’ll be the death of me, I can't lose this place, he would kill me” He broke down even though the anger was seeping through.Jeremy heard the part of his father being arrested by Aidan, he creased his forehead and scrunched his face in di
