Chapter Hundred And Six

Mallory’s POV

“Ew. Ew! Ew!” She exclaimed as she jittered her heels across a puddle to enter the bus taking her to the prison where her mother was serving her sentence.

Her mother had been leaving calls for her to come to see her, but she'd been ignoring them hoping they would go away because she didn't want to be associated with or even tied to her mother again. She finally went reluctantly when the mother told her there was something important that she needed to learn about a stack of money she kept in case of unforeseen circumstances. And being that she was flat broke, she picked up her bag and scurried to get to her mother just so she could claim the money.

“Princess? Is this place too filthy for you?” One of the passengers asked as she cracked up at her.

She jerked her jaw and scoffed as she found a free seat to sit down.
