Mallory’s POV

After she had been abducted and forced by Jeremy to give up Rachel’s location–not that she was forced anyway, she decided that there wasn't a need to go back to her mother’s estate, but rather go to her husband's house or their house.

Mallory had avoided Ethan like a plague ever since he lost his group to Aidan and became a mere employee. And to make it worse, he won't let go of it because he believes Aidan would give him the group back if he performs well. Utter and total rubbish. She had since lost face with her friends and was banned from their clubs and weekly meetings because of the disgrace her husband brought on them or so she likes to call it.

She arrived at her house around evening time, not expecting to even see Ethan as he was now a lapdog to Aidan.

“Welcome Ms. Mallory,” The maid said as soon as she opened the door. The look on her face was a surprise as she hadn't graced the house in weeks, not to mention showing up looking like she was in a fight that she

Aidan’s POV A couple of days passed since Craig gave Aidan a little information regarding Jeremy that churned the very depths of Aidan’s soul. He knew Jeremy was immoral but that kind of evil was something he never anticipated or even expected him to be, and the fact that his father keeps covering up his tracks was just the icing on the cake. Aidan was driving through the busy streets of the City, preparing for his father to come back finally to Emergande City after making sure everything was alright in Aelbank City and also throwing out those who would threaten Aidan’s very existence. He pulled up to Ack Mall to get some stuff that Erica would need because she didn't run away with many things on her when she left her husband. He beats himself every day but still ends up helping her.“Here Sir, everything you sent online has been sorted and put in place. Also, Sir, this is the bracelet you asked to be customized with the initials ‘You’re safe now’” The cashier smiled, full of joy,

“And you chose ugly” Aidan’s voice was cold and hard as he walked closer to Crystal who was cowering at the back of her bodyguard.“Please kind Sir, I don't know how you were, I don't want ugly, please” She cupped her hands in a parking position and begged. They shook greatly alongside her legs. “Now I'm kind Sir” He taunted her. “Well, do you have 2 million dollars to pay for the bracelet you damaged?” “Daddy” She pointed her hand to her father. “He's rich, he can pay, he has money” She was quick to throw her father in the front. Anything to save her selfish self.“Well, Daddy? What are you waiting for? She said you have the means to reimburse us” The manager shifted her gaze to Kelvin Igor. Kelvin breathed heavily, his eyes fixed on Aidan hoping he would change his mind or maybe something lighter but his eyes were dark and gray and indifferent as he couldn't read out his emotions.“We don't have all day Sir,” Kelvin jerked as she shouted out for him to hear properly. He fiddled

In a swift move, the mopping sticks and cleaning supplies were brought for Crystal. She took a glance at her father and the man’s head was bowed, unable to help or get her out of the ugly situation. Aidan stood by, his hands folded over his chest as Crystal shed real tears over the humiliation she cried was being wrath on her.She took the cleaning supplies and reluctantly started cleaning.“Does this mean that all is forgiven and my meeting with you is back on track?” Kelvin asked politely, but minding his words he wasn't ready to be in the same position as his daughter.Aidan gave him a bitter side look which caused him to recoil back. He turned to his staff and instructed that she be greatly monitored and treated the way she would treat others. For once, since Crystal stepped into the mall behaving like she owned the place, she cried real tears.“That will teach her a lesson” A woman who had witnessed the whole thing said out loud shooting Aidan a look of approval before she headed

“I'm not a child Cole, you don't have to rush into saving me like some damsel in distress” Aidan scolded him as the paramedics were done making sure none of his bones were broken, and it was all just bruises and scrapes.“Sir, you might not be, but your father would kill us if anything were to happen to you” Cole replied, gently pulling the door of the black Hummer EV pick-up truck they pulled up in open.Aidan sighed heavily with just a band-aid placed on the deepest cut on his left index finger and he pouted as he stepped into the car. His security spent a couple of minutes with the police before they too came into the car with his purchases, placing them beside Malcolm who sat on the passenger seat while only Aidan was in the back. He protested to them and demanded the purchases be put in the back with him but they refused and just said it was for his safety. He watched as his Bugatti Chiron was being pulled away by the tolling company and felt nothing for it. He caught a glance o

“Erica?” She called again as she roamed her eyes throughout her body and on her disheveled black wet hair.“I'm sorry Sir, I didn't know you were in here, she just jumped into the elevator as I was coming up here,” Sadie said dejectedly.Aidan tilted his head to the side, scowling at Sadie. All his emotions and the blood rush had left his dick and went straight to his head. He clenched his jaw tightly as his temples throbbed while his breathing increased, like a bull ready to charge at a bullfighter.Eileen shifted her gaze back to Erica who looked like she wished for the ground to open up and swallow her whole. She had since folded her hands over her chest to hide her perky breasts and protruding nipples from being seen by her. She crossed her legs in a zigzag as if preventing the wetness she felt in between from slipping out and being seen by Eileen. In all sense, she was more embarrassed and ashamed that she saw her in this flushed state, especially with Aidan. But Eileen did some

“And show some respect!” He was stern.Casey scoffed and rolled her eyes at Erica as she drew a few steps back and yanked her hand from his grip. “Is this because of her? Because last time I checked, she was the enemy and married to the assaulter named Jeremy” She rolled her eyes as she spoke contemptuously about her.“You're crossing your boundary, Casey…” Aidan drawled.“Boundary you say? Isn't it the same you that kissed me a couple of weeks ago or was that just a ploy to get Eileen treated by me in secret” She scoffed and adjusted the tiny black cross-body bag she held.Eileen’s eyes popped wide open as she couldn't comprehend what she just heard. She leaned forward from the sofa and what Casey said annoyed the living daylight out of her.“Casey…” Aidan drawled her name slowly as he let go of Erica. “You're walking on thin ice”You aren't even ashamed of yourself, coming here, throwing yourself on a man that doesn't give a crap about you…Have some dignity” Eileen scolded her but

“What do you mean by that?” “I know this would be too hard to break to you, which was the reason I waited to get back from Aelbank City before breaking it to you, and also getting your father's approval was paramount to the whole…” “Wait, my father’s approval?” He was puzzled. “Why the heck would you need his approval to tell me about my mother?” Mr. Raymond paused as he cut in. “It was your father's request and as his attorney, I have to respect his wishes.” Aidan was shocked and mute. All these while since his father came into his life, there was a part of him that felt like the man was hiding something from him, and whenever he asked, he always brushed it under the rug. So for him to give this permission, means that he had known who she was all along.“He had been running an investigation on her death just as he did on finding you, even now in Aelbank City, where he's not easily recognizable” “Recognizable?” He squeezed his brows closer together. “What do you mean recognizable

“She did. We had no choice, it was either that or he would get rid of you” “Frederick is and has always been ruthless, with no one left to run to for help, your mother agreed, that you should be left alone with me and no harm should ever come to me, then she would gladly marry the man and the merger would occur.” Aidan watched as his father sighed wearily, fighting the words coming out of his mouth, filled with pain and sorrows and he had this inclination that the first bit of the story was just a peek of a much larger iceberg. “He agreed and he took her…” He paused and hissed. “More like pulling her out forcefully. And that was the last time I ever saw her. I was left with you, a baby to take care of.” “The marriage happened the weekend of that very same week, Frederick didn't waste any time at all…” He grunted bitterly. “That bastard. Marrying off Ember to the highest bidder was his number one priority, just like his little son who I saw turned out to be a brute just like his fa

He turned around and saw Casey standing, holding a shopping bag. Adorning an all-black bodycon gown, her blonde hair flowed freely down her back. She wore a pink leather jacket to complement the floor-length bodycon gown.“What are you doing here? In these luxurious shopping parts of the City?” She asked as she strides closer to him.“She looks sexy,” Eileen said, smacking her lips and looking into her brother’s eyes with a smug grin on her face. “Wipe that smugness off!” He commanded in a hushed whisper. Eileen giggled and stood beside him.“Casey! It's been a while, I should have been the one asking you since this part isn't normally your jurisdiction.” He extended his arms and accepted the hug she brought. She looked different, not like the stern, straightforward doctor he meant almost a year ago. Her dark hair was blonde now and she was dressed in her usual business-looking outfits, but rather a casual one. It was a new look for Aidan.“I remember you.” She pointed to Eileen, wa

His hot breath continued down her neck as he heaved up and down, trying to find a calm pace for his panging chest. She chuckled. “Busted, no more hiding from her then.” She said and wrapped her legs around him, bringing him in the more. He turned to look at her and his expression was different as his dick became flaccid inside of her. It fell out itself even with her moving her waist herself to continue what Eileen had interrupted.“What is it?” She asked as he removed her wrapped legs and sat at the edge of the bed, using the sheets to cover his semi-hard dick. He rubbed his hands through his hair and sighed a weary sigh.“We shouldn't have done this, Eileen coming in here was a wake-up call” Erica was flabbergasted, and he

He saw Erica turn to get an eyeful of him. They both locked eyes and after what felt like forever, she left the two of them. Aidan shook his head after, he knew why she was leaving but that was low of her to bring it up at this point when Eileen just learned about the life her mother lived and how evil and heartless her birth father was. Erica always finds a way to squeeze herself in. “You know she's right” “What?” He squinted his lids and narrowed his eyes after what Eileen said broke his thoughts. But he didn't quite catch it, hence he asked again. “She has to leave.” “You know what, Eileen, enough!” He wagged his hand in an

Aidan's POVAt The Ackerman EstateA couple of weeks had passed since Jeremy’s final verdict, he was sentenced to life imprisonment, a worse punishment than the one labeled on his father. The City was in awe of the vile things that were published about how the family ran their businesses. People Jeremy had wronged, got their little bit of peace back and some money for compensation. Frederick Clayton was made to pay back the people who he wrongfully took money from the sum of 400 million dollars in total. It was a lot, even for Frederick. The authorities spared no time in bundling up their houses and taking them up as their own, leaving no stone unturned. The little left behind was given to Eileen and also surprisingly there was a trust fund with her mother's name which with the help of Aidan’s attorney, she was able to open and access for her art career.“Daddy…” Rachel exclaimed happily as she leaped out of Eileen’s side onto the bed where they both lay, while Erica sat in the vanit

Mallory’s POV “Ew. Ew! Ew!” She exclaimed as she jittered her heels across a puddle to enter the bus taking her to the prison where her mother was serving her sentence. Her mother had been leaving calls for her to come to see her, but she'd been ignoring them hoping they would go away because she didn't want to be associated with or even tied to her mother again. She finally went reluctantly when the mother told her there was something important that she needed to learn about a stack of money she kept in case of unforeseen circumstances. And being that she was flat broke, she picked up her bag and scurried to get to her mother just so she could claim the money.“Princess? Is this place too filthy for you?” One of the passengers asked as she cracked up at her.She jerked her jaw and scoffed as she found a free seat to sit down.“This is taken…” Another scooted to the free seat from the window side he sat at, frowning at her.“I don't understand…” She huffed a sigh. “How can this be t

Aidan’s POV A whole month had passed since he got Frederick and his cohorts arrested. Madam Doris was sent to jail to spend the next ten years of her pathetic life behind bars without the possibility of parole or even a retrial. Jeremy was still on trial, and this was the last day of his trial where he would be convicted of his numerous crimes. They were the most grotesque crimes ever. He was practically the enforcer of his father, no wonder the man always kept him on his side and without a leash because he carried out the most heinous crimes or got whoever would agree when he could not do it himself for him.Aidan had been going to court since their trial, not because it was necessary but to see the downfall on their faces when they were finally convicted. And boy! Did Frederick feel like he had lost a huge battle he thought he’d already won? He looked dejected like he had lost a fight with a grizzly bear he underestimated. His snares and glare did little to nothing to him as he was

Although the roads were beautified with tall luxurious trees, they did little to nothing to hide the ugly of the road. No wonder she came out here to hide because no one would dare or even think about coming to the hell hole. As the cars were skidding down the dusty ass road, he received a text.“We're done Sir, taking her home now”It was from Cole, he had been receiving texts from him at every interval to know what she was doing and if the meeting she insisted on was over even though it was against his wish. He flipped his phone that he placed on the empty back seat and checked the notification. He smirked as he saw and left the phone back. The car hit a bump and he made a wince sound. It was the talk of the whole City for anyone who cared enough to listen and everyone cared to listen, from the media, the news stations, the cafes, the streets, roads, and every corner that had people in it, talked about Clayton's downfall. It was horrendous and they ate it up like the sweetest meal ever. The videos circulating and making media rounds made everything worse. So bad that anyone who was affiliated with them had to either detach themselves or hide their head. Some even had to go as far as running away from the City just so their name was savaged from the whole saga.“We are here Ms. Erica,” Cole said to her as they got to the police station. It's been almost two weeks since the arrest of the mighty family of Emergande, her mother had already been convicted and sentenced to jail without bail for ten years and also a fine of 200 million dollars had to be paid back by her. But since she

To make matters worse, the paparazzi were right behind his car, looking for the easiest scoop of news they could grasp their hands on. “Let him in” He reluctantly said to Malcolm. This whole shit show was irritating the living daylight out of him. Malcolm did as was instructed and Ethan hopped into the backseat with no hesitation and the car pulled away, maneuvering the paparazzi.“Are you out of your damn mind?!
