Chapter Six

"I'm sorry Master Aidan. I wasn't thinking clearly. I only went in because I couldn't find you in the sitting room." She spoke politely while still bowing her head.

Aidan's heavy breathing reduced a bit. He looked at her closely and for the first time, saw how beautiful and young she was for such a prestigious position as a high-level doctor. "You're forgiven." He replied calmly.

"Now that you're calm, go put on some clothes so she can do her job. My attorney; Mr. Raymond, is here…" He said patting the short, sturdy man's shoulder. He looked like he meant business from his suit-up. Aidan nodded to Robert's words.

Minutes later, the doctor was done collecting her samples from both Aidan and Robert. She packed up and apologized again before leaving.

"I researched as Mr. Robert here instructed me yesterday" The attorney spoke up as soon as the doctor left. "From my sources, your daughter wasn't dropped into any orphanage. My guess is Madam Doris has her hidden in an unknown location." Mr. Raymond spoke calmly.

"If she has harmed my daughter in any way…" Aidan stood up with clenched fists and veins throbbing.

"Do you think she would stoop that low?" a concerned Robert asked.

"If I know Madam Doris, she will do anything to protect her family name including getting rid of my Rachel," Aidan said dejectedly.

"The private meeting she had set with you has been met with scorn when I tried to make inquiries about the date and time. She's adamant about meeting with you." Mr. Raymond continued.

Aidan cupped his face in his palms and sighed. He walked to the balcony and saw a better view of the city. He breathed in the fresh aura. "So Doris is headstrong in giving me my daughter?" He chuckled softly and wickedly. "I could have left them in peace but she just stepped on the snake's tail and she has no freaking idea," He said to himself.

He turned to Mr Raymond sitting with Robert. "Can you get me her exact location?" He asked sternly.

Mr. Raymond chuckled. "Yes. Like taking candy from a baby." And he gave a wicked sneer before leaving them.

A couple of hours later, the current location of Madam Doris was sent to Aidan. Surprisingly, she was having a business lunch with some clients in the same hotel now owned by Aidan. "Of course" He snickered.

Aidan dressed up casually from the collection of luxury clothes that was set up for him. He was immediately directed to the hotel's restaurant where Madam Doris's meeting took place.

"Surprised seeing you here after you boycotted the private meeting you had set up yourself to get rid of me" He spoke condescendingly.

Madam Doris' eyes shone brightly as soon as she heard that familiar voice. She turned and saw Aidan standing.

"Do you know this young man Madam Doris?" One of the seated clients asked.

"He's a nonentity who has been pestering me, like a thorn in my flesh" She quickly blurted out. "How did your useless ass get access into this fine establishment? Do they just allow randos in now or have you squirmed your way in?" She asked scornfully.

Aidan sneered viciously all the while Madam Doris spoke. He bent to the level of the clients. "I would advise you to run now that you have the chance. She's a weed that'll eat you up once she has her roots deep in you." He turned to Madam Doris with that same wicked handsome smile of his.

On hearing what he said, Madam Doris banged the table in a rage alerting the few people in the restaurant. "Security! Security!" She screeched. "Throw this homeless idiot out!" Immediately, two security men dressed in black suits close to the restaurant scurried in but stopped in their tracks.

"What are you waiting for? Are you deaf as well as dumb? I gave a damn order!" She asked in an authoritative tone.

"I'm sorry ma, but we can't comply with your command because he's our boss."

"What poppycock! Are you defiling my orders? Where's your manager? I demand an audience because this is a taint on my name. Do you know who I am?" She spat angrily. Aidan stood with his hands folded enjoying the show.

Sadie, passing by, heard the commotion. "Ma, I'm Sadie Colt, the managing director of Ack Hotel. What is the problem?" Sadie said as she walked in.

She scoffed seeing Sadie was a lower class than her. "Now I understand why a commoner like you…" she pointed to Aidan "Could get into this place. I mean who the hell employed you?" She asked disgustingly, staring at Sadie.

"Excuse me Ma, you would show respect as long as you're in here" Sadie retorted back.

"Excuse you! Do your job and throw him out." She commanded, stretching her hands towards Aidan.

"I'm sorry your request cannot be fulfilled as he is the owner of this fine building that you insulted the manager." Although Sadie was pissed, she spoke politely.

"I… I think it's best we reschedule this meeting," One of the clients said, and before Madam Doris could speak, they both left the restaurant briskly.

Aidan giggled. "What are you still doing in my restaurant? You should follow your clients. Oops that's right you just lost that money." He moved closer to her. "You know what I want. Give me my daughter or you'll rue this day." He spoke sternly.

She laughed unfazed by his words. "You think your threats scare me? You're a nobody. I don't care if you're somehow the owner of this place but your words hold no power over me." She was assertive and bold.

Madam Doris unshaken, took her phone and dialed her minions. "You'll get what's coming for you"

Her minions; the policemen arrived at the restaurant in a flash, like they had been hanging around waiting for her to give them the go-ahead. "Arrest him and don't mess it up like the last time." She commanded.

"I'm sorry Madam but we can't arrest him" One of the policemen whispered to her.

Her face changed abruptly like she had been stabbed right in the heart. "Why!"

"Orders from above. He's elusive"
