Chapter Sixty-Nine

Erica’s POV

Erica, seeing that there wasn't much she could do with her Mom’s arrest, seeing that the evidence labeled against her where humongous and the fact that even she was an accomplice, decided to go back to her father-in-law, maybe if she tried hard enough even though she hasn't borne or gotten pregnant yet, he might have a soft spot to help her Mom.

The words Aidan said to her, cut deep right into her bones. But she didn't blame him but herself. She helped her Mother get him arrested, believing their lies and all, she beat herself up, because she deserved it, every single hate and loathing he wrath on her.

She arrived at the estate quite late because her sister had left her stranded at the police station, and she couldn't get a cab on time.

She got in hoping to shower, change out of her clothes, and see if Frederick Clayton was around so she could meet, before going to spend time with Eileen; the only warmth she has in the Clayton household.
