Chapter Seventy

Aidan's POV

The table was set for him like he instructed the chef to with his neat meals. The look on Madam Doris’s face while she was being interrogated about her shady dealings would last a lifetime. She can deny all she wants, but she's reached the end of the road and that fact alone brought warmth to Aidan.

His table was set with some of his meals consisting of grilled steak and mashed potatoes with white wine. Aidan had been running on fumes for the past couple of days, having barely anything to eat except his mountains of coffee. He finally made the decision and told his chef to prepare something exquisite for him.

“Sir Aidan?”

“Yes, Mikay, how may I help you, do you want to join?” He asked without raising his head from the wine he poured into the glass flute.

“No Sir,” He got close to him after he waved his hand for him to do so.

“Sadie is on the phone for you Sir,” He paused, nervousness embedded in him.
