Chapter Twenty-Nine

"I can't with you right now, why the hell is everyone around me so incompetent?"

"You know what, I shouldn't have listened to you and just did what was on my mind" She cried out.

She sank into her chair after removing pieces of broken decor that had shattered in her outrage on the chair, with the phone still glued to her ear.

"Calm yourself, Madam Doris" Her attorney tried to pacify her over the phone.

But it only infuriated her the more.

"Calm down!? Calm!… Aren't you the one who lost your nephew's clinic to him?" She ridiculed him.

She bit her lips to stop them from trembling as she noticed they quivered continuously since she saw the contents of that parcel.

Her attorney went silent knowing she was pissed and nothing he said would help the situation. His muteness ticked off Madam Doris and her rage blew through the roof. She ended the call, picked up her car key in the mess she had caused in her office, and stormed out.
