Chapter 15

"This woman's house holds many secrets; I thought this place was just a warehouse for used goods," said Ferdinand, who began to open several old books stored there.

The main door was still tightly closed. There was no sound of people approaching. Ferdinand believed the situation was still safe. He wanted to check more documents in this warehouse.

Clara wasn't a stranger, as Andie had been dating the girl for over two years. Ferdinand often heard Clara's name, but they had never interacted directly. Andie and Clara usually spent their time vacationing abroad. Clara was well known to Ferdinand's parents as Andie had introduced her to Camilla and Levin.

"Oh, so that annoying naggy woman handles some of her father's businesses and modeling," Ferdinand said softly as he read an old document containing Clara's data.

Ferdinand stepped over to examine the rest of the room. He still couldn't guess what Clara wanted to order him to do later.

"You damn girl! Just because I accidentally spilled water, she wants to try to enslave me without pay for one year. Just see what I'll do later! If I've managed to find out Andie's plans through that annoying woman, I'll shame her in public when everyone knows who I am!" Ferdinand said vengefully.

Meanwhile, Clara looked nervous and upset at the hospital. She had sent several text messages to Andie, but there was no reply. Even his phone calls were not answered.

"What the hell is he doing?! Why is Andie ignoring my calls?! I can't possibly send my driver back because he has to take care of Jason and keep an eye on that damn man at home." Clara said nervously while walking back and forth near the lobby door.

She turned her head toward the street several times, hoping that Andie would secretly read her message and go straight to pick her up. But there was no sign of him coming.

"There's no way I'm going to the shoot by taxi. The reporters are waiting for me there for an interview before the shoot. It would be embarrassing if they saw me arrive by taxi," Clara muttered.

Clara does have a big name in the modeling world. She had been contracted to model for several well-known fashion and makeup brands.

Anna watched Clara's movements from a distance. She had no work schedule today. But she deliberately came to find out where Ferdinand would be taken. Unfortunately, her arrival was a little late. Some affairs made her hassle at home, so she only arrived at the hospital when Clara's driver took away Ferdinand.

"Why is Ferdinand nowhere to be seen? Is there only that woman alone?" Anna wondered to herself as she continued to observe.

Camilla was walking in the hallway. She was exhausted and considered finding an assistant to take turns with to care for Levin. She had been hoping for Andie, but Andie's busy schedule didn't allow her to continue helping Camilla take care of Levin all the time.

"Isn't that Clara?" Camilla saw someone she recognized when she was almost in the lobby.

She noticed that Clara was agitated.

"Clara," she called out.

"Yes," Clara turned her head when she heard someone calling. "Oh, Aunt Camilla," She walked over to Camilla.

"Are you visiting your sick family?" Camilla asked.

"No, I'm just," Clara thought for a while before answering Camilla's question. It would be naïve of her, to tell the truth about her need to come to the hospital this morning.

"What's wrong?" Camilla asked curiously.

"Yes, I'm visiting my sister, who is still hospitalized. But I'm also waiting for Andie, he replied.

"Andie? Did you make an appointment to meet him?" asked Camilla.

"Yes, I tried to contact him several times, but there was no answer," replied Clara.

"He should already be here since he made an appointment with me to help me take care of some things here," said Camilla.

"Really? Is it possible that he's on his way here?" Clara sounded so hopeful.

"Yes, I think so. But it's also possible he's going straight to the office and will be here in the afternoon. Do you have something really important to do with Andie?" Camilla asked again.

"I was hoping he could drive me to the shooting location. It's because I've ordered my driver to work on other tasks. But, if Andie doesn't come, I'll have to take a taxi." said Clara.

"Oh, don't be like that, dear. You don't need to take a taxi. Let the driver drive you," Camilla said gently. She was indeed a compassionate person who cared for others.

"Your driver? I don't think it's necessary, and I'm afraid it'll be troublesome." Clara subtly refused even though she needed the help.

"There's nothing to be bothered about. I need a short drive to my apartment across the street. After that, my driver can drop you off." Camilla said.

Camilla suddenly held her head and looked in pain.

"Are you okay?" asked Clara worriedly.

"Just feeling a little dizzy," replied Camilla, who then sat on the lobby chair.

"Then let me accompany you to the apartment." Clara tried to help Camilla.

Camilla just nodded in agreement. Soon, Camilla's driver was already preparing the car in front of the lobby door.

Clara helped Camilla walk to the car by holding her hand. Camilla looked at the girl's face with a smile. Suddenly, she remembered Ferdinand even more.

"You are a very gentle and kind girl. Andie is fortunate to have a lover like you. If only my son Ferdinand ...." Her sentence stopped. Camilla cried, covering her face with both hands.

Sitting beside Camilla, Clara felt awkward and didn't know what to do. She took a tissue from her bag and gave it to Camilla to wipe away the tears.

"I'm sorry, until now I haven't been able to accept my son's death," Camilla accepted Clara's tissue and wiped her tears.

Clara just nodded with a smile and tried to calm Camilla down. She was a little surprised to hear Ferdinand's name mentioned several times.
