Chapter 20
Claude was now in the courtyard of the hospital. He quickly moved his feet to enter the large building. His vast strides passed several nurses who immediately bent their heads when they saw Claude's arrival at this hospital. Claude ignored the few gentle remarks from the nurses who greeted him. He also missed the people passing by. Claude's gaze stayed straight on the hallway leading him to his mother's room. Even as he walked, Claude had a cold expression on his face.

Claude walked through the long hallway until his steps stopped as he entered the elevator. And after a while, Claude was already in front of the ward. He staggered and approached a room that showed a woman who was now lying weakly on a gurney. Even now, Wendy had not regained consciousness. Seeing that scene, Claude's heart became very sad seeing his mother's condition that had not yet improved.
