Chapter Six

"It's you, you were assigned to make sure he doesn't move outside the cage." The host was alarmed as he looked at Dylan before him and back to Lucien.

"I. . . should get the microphone fixed." He lied and scurried away.

Natalie looked to the side toward the cage for Dylan and figured that his wife was on the edge.

"Natalie, I told you I would get out of there. And not embarrass you." He ran after her towards the shadows.

"There is no difference, the Bush family brought this upon themselves." She hissed at Dylan.

"What? What do you mean?" Before Dylan could figure out everything his eyes went flashing as to what end Natalie is doing this.

Natalie gasped feeling a hand dragging her to the side. She turns to see Lucien annoyed, somehow he tries to contain his furry.

The anger was clear that Dylan getting out of his trap was never something he predicted.

Dylan was annoyed that the guy had already violated his bottom line by having an eye for his wife and now touching her in front of him.

What else did Lucien take advantage of? This situation was to move Dylan, he was so thick-skinned.

"Haha, because the host showered your mercy and let you out, you think you are free to wander around and mismanage?"

Dylan looked at Lucien with zero concern for his words, they were rather too haggard for his mouth. His eyes dashed to where he still got his hand wrapped around Natalie's wrist.

Then finally they came a sigh from Lucien's irritation sparked through it. "Aren't you going to say something?"

He finds it too funny. "You're so dumb I forgot that is why you're so useless."

"Lucien." Dylan's words were a gesture of power. Lucien anticipated what he will say. "Get your hand off her, else. . ."

"This is getting interesting. Else what?" Lucien was boiling in bitterness at the audacity of Dylan, who the hell was he to get on his nerve this night?

Dylan stared at Lucien, and let out a sigh, Marriage are scared and until he announced he was done with his wife no one was allowed to touch her out of pity, no one cares, he was just a rah before them. Dylan sneered in his heart.

"You're only married to her; she deserves a man that worships and adores her. Tell me Dylan when did you last celebrate your anniversary or her birthday?"

Dylan looked away, Lucein was right, he hadn't tasted Natalie's right to be called a husband.

With a satisfactory smile, he picked up his phone and made a few blunders which were distracted by the hustle-bustle of the music. From the corridor, he walked to the side with Natalie.

This caught Wayne's attention and blinked as Natalie tried to weasel her hand far from Lucien.

"Mother insists that she let you." Wayne a notch giving Dylan a hard look.

"And don't interfere, after all, Lucien is the escort, you look too hampered to be presented to the guests." She piped.

It was too late for them but buying time out got the very spectacular of them.

"Come on, I would have given it my all if I were you."

"But you aren't me."

Lucian scoffed. "Did I just hear you right?" He asked.

Dylan hit his leg calculated times on the ground. "What? Are you scared I might take away your wife? A rag like you doesn't deserve such honour."

"Lucian!"

Natalie looked at Dylan from the side and her heart was a mess. Dylan was better than this arrogant bastard, but none of the men was her ideal type.

She let out a hiccup that drew his attention and then pulled away from Lucien.

"Don't you think you can hold me like that?" Natalie hissed passing by her stepmother.

Wendy scoffed. "Mother, did you just see that?"

Her mother wanted to believe but these two things were too hard and mysterious for her.

Natalie rolled to the side and let out a sigh seeing that her mother had her hand tugged into Dylan's shirt dragging him along like he was a janitor that had committed a grave sin.

"What are you doing mother?" Ric quickly dashed to her side.

With a not-pleasurable smile, he tried to unfast his mother's hand from Dylan. Hard as rock they were hard for him to puck through.

"Mother everyone is watching," Wayne said warily before cascading her face with a wry smile to everyone.

What is she doing? Everyone was bothered. The Bush family were practically bringing their coats outside, she showed everyone what kind of son-in-law he has.

"Dylan, why don't you jog on? Natalie will be facing dinner and from the view of things you will make the night tedious."

Dylan has his hand in a knot beside him, Wayne gives him a glare and anger clouds his face.

Dylan became angry and walked away. When he moved to the side he noticed a giggle that intensified with every step.

"Come on, don't be cruel, he's a human too." Dylan's jaw clenched.

These wrenches will never be good at anything, will they? He thought and walked past them, almost brushing shoulders with one of the ladies.

"Are you also blind? Tell me!"

The fair woman with a fur hat on her beautiful blond swayed her hand beating Dylan hard.

"Apologize." Dylan was sure of the word he heard. Unlike every other time, Natalie has a fear creeping inside her heart. He felt it.

Dylan might know little about these girls, they were four with the blind being a stand out of a 5.8ft height. More so they looked drunk and ready to cause a scandal.

His anger flared up before he looked back. Natalie, she was standing by the door with her arm folded on her chest with a condescending look.

Dylan scoffed and returned his gaze to the lady. "What? Didn't you hear what she said? Or are you too prideful to apologise?"

Dylan let out a sigh, he did nothing wrong, if anyone is to apologize in this situation it should be the young lady, not him.

"I can't do that." Dylan clenched his jaw.

Everything was surprising to Natalie. Bit by bit she stepped forward; she was careful not to let her emotions wash over her.

"Why?" Natalie scoffed.

The lady now stepped to one side.

Dylan turns to walk away. "Have you gotten the guts now?"

"Natalie, you were standing by the door. It's obvious you're not blind to everything that just happened.''

"What!" Exclaimed the blond-haired lady.

"Dylan!" Natalie calls after him. "Aren't you ashamed of yourself?"

Natalie can be anything anytime, Dylan still tolerated but before a bunch of ladies that were already stepping on his nerves while he was innocent, he can't imagine what to do.

"Aren't you ashamed of filming the scene?"

"I owe her nothing," Dylan said casually and walked out on Natalie.

Weiss turned to Natalie, her hand traced to her hair and she removed her fur hat.

"He's your husband right." The lady scoffed circling Natalie with every step.

She scouts her hands up, her manicured nails digging into Natalie's shoulder, she helps her whimper down.

These girls were not just patriarchs but mugs.

"Why don't you apologise instead? It will be interesting to have one of you begging right?

Natalie had a bad feeling from the start she knew that Dylan was not at fault yet she wanted him to do the kneeling instead.

"The man has got a mindset of his own. And I love to see you on your knees."

A kick from behind on her knee contracts Natalies leg and she let out a groan,

"Just let this slide." Natalie let out but before she could do anything the camera was on her. "This won't change anything, it won't make me join your club, Weiss!"

"This isn't about the club, we are out of a slot for you."

The other girl aligned her camera and was taking a proper recording of everything.

"It's my fault I'm sorry." The giggle intensifies, Natalie was shocked to see Dylan kneeling. Has he got no pride at all? She looked away with pain.

"Wow, this will be more fun, can't wait to upload this on the site. What will be of the Bush family if Dorogo figures this out?" Weiss clicks her tongue with a devilish smile.

Weiss family had always been on the front runner with the Bush family, especially when the Crescent family launched a new fashion line that featured the old money style. Not only was she after Natalie ever since then but had tried to lay her hand on a leaky.
