Lisa was the happiest person in the world. She could even give peter the world if she had the power. Since she did not have the power to, she had to settle for what she could give him.
She could not stop thanking him, even though he told her not to anymore.
One of the things she gave him was gold wrist watch with diamond and topaz stones on it.
“You really do not have to.” He said to her. “I can not simply wear this on my poor skin.” He said to her.
“You deserve this and so much more!” she assured him.
At that moment, two black Lexus swept by. They blocked the black G-wagon in the front and rear. More than eight men got out of the car, looking so tall and rugged with eye patches like sailors of ancient days who were believed to have lost one eye. They approached the car, armed with weapons, and others with covered faces. A bald, burly man who seemed to be the leader set his foot on the wagon's bonnet.
Brandishing his knife, he threatened, “Miss Lisa, my boss wants to meet you. We will escort you.” She could now see they were Black mask, a popular class of hired assassins who worked under their boss. The cops, except SWAT, were afraid of them.
“How bold of you to hijack my car!” Lisa growled, fearless. She knew her father’s influence and no one under normal circumstances would try this.
“We wouldn’t have dared with all your bodyguards around. However, they are now at the hospital guarding the kind. We are receiving steady info, doesn't that sound creepy to you?" He twisted his lips. "Luck ran out of you today and you're with your little powerless bodyguard."
"How could we pass this precious opportunity by?” the bald guy smirked.
“Well, you do have some brains in that numbskull of yours to bribe my driver to give you information, doesn't that sound childish? However, please satisfy my curiosity. Who’s your boss?” Lisa asked calmly, clapping her hands.
“You will know once we get there! Now, will you get off?” the bald guy urged. "Get out of your free will or we will force you."
"How stupid and risky that will be, have you forgotten who you are talking to? Should my men come for you, you will be mutilated bodies, scampered all over the street, a free food for the vultures!"
This got the men so angry, their eyes inflamed, getting so red like it was being set on fire.
“You have no right to order me around!” Lisa continued, not even making a single shift.
“Since you are proving too difficult, we will show you we aren't here to joke and who gives a fuck as to who you are?" The leader made signals to his men, calling on them to advance. As he was going to smash the windscreen to bring her out, Peter opened the door and got out. Lisa was scared that he might be attacked.
“Miss Lisa, your boy toy has no guts. See, he even wants to run and you're still inside. You better come out, kneel before us and we will spare you!"
Lisa was so pissed, how could she do that? This mockery was going too far.
“You have five seconds to leave here!” Peter warned. The men looked at him with disgust, murmuring angrily to themselves.
"Go to hell! We are sure you haven't taken any food. A hungry and poor man like him wants to challenge us!" They laughed with each other.
Before their leader could finish his sentence, Peter dealt him a serious blow on his face. The overwhelming pressure almost dislocated his jaw. He staggered back, stars spinning around his head and his eyes turned.
“Fuck! Kill him!” He shouted at his men.
The other men immediately rushed toward Peter with their weapons in hand. Peter faced them fearlessly. He weaved through the crowd, his movements as light as a feather. Each time someone came within arm’s length, he struck out heavy punches. It was almost like magic.
After a few loud cracks and cries of pain, the men fell over one by one. None remained standing after receiving a slap from Peter. Beating up more than eight muscular men who weren't even his size in height and weight, was a very great surprise. The bald man was scared badly. Never in his dreams would he have thought that such a man could beat him up, no one has ever beaten him up before. He wanted to know what type of man he was.
“Interesting.”
Lisa ’s eyes shone with interest, a slight smile playing on her lips. She replaced the handgun she had lying in her bag. Initially, she thought that Peter was going to have some trouble taking down a group of bloodthirsty men by himself. Who knew that he was such a capable fighter? He was much more skilled than even her trained bodyguards.
"Such a handsome, strong man!" She exclaimed to herself, making sure not to let him hear. She remembered her promise to marry him should he heal her dad.
“Stop! Stand back!” The bald man pleaded for his life as Peter approached him. “Don’t come near me! I will make you pay—”
Before he could finish, Peter landed a punch on his abdomen. The man threw up blood, sinking to his feet. He was now the one kneeling before Peter, the same thing he asked him and Lisa to do.
“He’s all yours, Lisa. What should I do to him?”
Peter stepped aside.
“Thank you.” Lisa nodded and stared down at the bald guy. “Tell me, who’s your boss?”
Sweat running down his forehead, the man hesitated.
“Are you not going to tell me?” Lisa smirked and picked up a knife from the ground. She held the blade against his neck and threatened, “I shall have to torture you slowly until you confess then, he's done with his, I'm.l next!”
With that, she raised her arm and swung.
At the last moment, the bald man screamed, “Please don’t kill me! I’ll tell you everything! It’s Kann Ben of the Black mask Group!”
They started as a great business organization but later turned it into an assassination group with deadly men.
His life was more important than his loyalty right now.
“As expected.” Lisa smiled. “Return and inform Kann that I’ll remember this! When I have some free time, I’ll visit him. Get lost right now!” She growled at him.
This man and his colleagues who were lying seemingly dead on the ground got up immediately and took to their heels, even leaving their cars. They were running for their lives.
“Lisa, you need to be more cautious next time. All bad things happen in just a day!,” Peter warned.“Kann Ben is just a crazy bastard. However, he has strong allies backing him up. I’m not going to do anything about this yet. I'll plan well before going to ask him what's going on!"Lisa narrowed her eyes. It would be rash to attack right now. She would take all of them down in one blow with Peter!“As long as you have a plan, that’s alright.” Peter nodded."Peter, you've done so much, more than expected, I have no way to pay you back.” Lisa fluttered her eyelashes sexily, running her hand through her hips.“It’s no trouble at all,” Peter replied carelessly.“No, we owe you too much! I must return the favor!” With that, Lisa shot him a sexy smile whining her body gently like a slow motion snake.“Can I repay you first of all with my body before we marry?“What?” Peter was as shocked as hell.He never thought this is what Lisa would say. Taking a closer look, he found that her beauty wa
Mary finally recognized the man. After she found out the truth about that fight, she had been feeling guilty about it. Mary decided to address the misunderstanding she had with him the other day. This was her chance and a rare privilege since he doesn't attends events like this and wouldn't even pick her call. She walked up to him.“Peter!”Mary was about to continue when she stopped in her tracks. She noticed a striking figure next to Peter. The woman was dressed in a skin-tight, fiery red dress that showcased her tiny waist and alluring curves.Lisa!“Mary, nice to meet you. How may I be of help to you?” Peter’s eyes widened when he saw Mary walking toward him, but his gaze turned cold in a moment.“What a coincidence seeing you here.”Mary choked back the speech she had prepared to explain herself and greeted Peter stiffly, especially seeing Lisa. She thought she was with him for only that day.If someone had told her this was her ex's new love interest, she wouldn't have believed
Mary and Roland just had to wait for the day to be over so they could go back home. The tension and uncomfortable feeling they were getting was too much and they could not take it anymore. It was though the ground would open for them to enter, bit it did not. Lisa was treated like royalty everywhere she went to and since she was with Peter now, it commanded the same respect for him. "What is she seeing in him?" Roland asked himself as he drove back home with Mary in the front seat. Mary was not short of thought herself. "What did he do to deserve her acceptance?" She asked herself as she was also confused. She did not know what on earth would make a woman so sophisticated, a hundred times more sophisticated than her to stop to Peter's level. Mary and Roland were both quiet through out the drive to the house. Both hand their minds filled up. Roland had been crushing on Lisa since back in the days. He several times made attempts to impress her, but as was never impressed.
Lisa's mother had died a while ago. Peter came across it over the news when it happened, but hadn't discussed it with her yet. He was so concerned to see her cry like that after mentioning her mother. "My mother was the best woman in the world." She said. "While dad was busy with work and all, she would stay home with my and my brother. We were little at that time. " She told him. "She would do all the sweet things and try to make sure we were okay. She always brought us here. This was her favourite restaurant." She said. The next couple of words followed slow laughter. "She said they always got their apple pies and natural soda right.""When we got home, she would try to replicate the pie with their pies, but she could never." She added. "Her pies were great, no doubt, but there was something about this place pie. Their pie was just unique. I even tried to do mine, but it never beat it." She said. "My mom died in an accident many years ago. It made me very lonely. I had to join
Peter woke up early the next morning. When he got out of the house, he saw that the whole place was busy. Everyone was awake, preparing for the return of Mr. Thompson. He walked through the hall way an met Lisa when he entered the kitchen. Lisa was with the maids, cooking. She saw him come in and become excited. "Good morning Peter. " She greeted him gleefully. "Good morning. " He said to her. He was also glad to see her. She walked up to him. "Why didn't you wake me up early to join in the preparation?" He asked her. "I did not want to disturb you. Besides, we have everything covered here." She replied him. "Does not matter." He replied. "I would still like to help." He said to her. "Well, you can come work here with us in the kitchen." She said to him. Peter let out a laugh. He found it hilarious. There was more manly things to do, but she wanted him to do that one. "Well, it is what I did when I was at home with my ex wife." He said to himself. "It's nothing I can't handl
Thompson was now very upset that his daughter was living in his house with a guy, a guy he knew. Nothing of. Little did he know that this was the man that saved his life. His son and brother did not bother to tell him either. They wanted to see violence play out instead of peace. They did not like him and so they wanted him out of the house. At home. Everything was done and they were ready to welcome Thompson back home. They had all lined up and laid red carpets for him to walk on when he got home. Peter was the last person to be outside. He spent a lot of time freshening up after the preparation. He was scared about going out and wanted to spend the rest of the day inside, but had to toughen up as a man and go outside. "I have seen worse things before." He said to himself. "How bad could these ones possibly be?" He comforted himself with those words before heading outside. Outside, he walked straight to Lisa. She looked at him with a smile on her face. "I thought you were go
Thompson already had a bad impression about the man he saw. He thought to himself that Peter was trying to take advantage of his daughter or something. He was going for absolute confrontation. He would also caution his daughter, but first, he had to deal with the rascal he just saw. As he walked to Peter, his daughter and other followed him. Joel was laughing within him because he would enjoy the drama that was about to go off. "What are you?!" Thompson asked Peter with a thundering voice on reaching. This made Peter more afraid that he had ever been. "The man who saved you dad." Lisa stepped in and said with a smile. "The man who saved me?" Thompson said. He was confused. "Good morning sir." Peter quickly greeted with a trembling voice. Thompson was not really interested in the greeting at this point. He wanted to know who Peter was. "The person the doctor said magically healed you, this is him." Lisa further explained to her father. The father finally got it. "You are the o
Thompson and his family went along to eat at the dining. Peter was not there because it was only for family and he was not part of the family, at least not yet. He was in his room, getting prepared for what would be a serious conversation between him and Thompson. He knew it would come to that sooner or later. He had to be prepared. Thompson was a very cautious man though. He knew when to bring issues up and when not to. Even if Peter healed him, Peter's relationship with his daughter bothered him. He however was not the type that would bring it up on the dining table. This was a happy moment and it had to be kept that way. They chatted and talked about all sorts of things while they ate. From work to fun stuffs and everything that happened while he was away. It was after eating and retiring to his room that he called for his daughter. She went into the room to meet him. "How are you feeling? " She asked her father when she got in. "As jumpy as a ten year old boy." Her fathe
