Jessica's hand trembled as she collected the pen from the guard. She quickly scanned the papers, her eyes blurring over the fine print. But she didn't care. She would sign away her soul if it meant saving her daughter. With a swift motion, she scribbled her signature on both papers.

The man's face lit up with a triumphant smile, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "Excellent," he murmured, his voice dripping with smugness. He turned to leave, but not before casting a parting glance at Jessica. "We are leaving here now," he announced, his voice echoing off the walls. "We are going to the airport."

One of the guards reached down and dragged Jessica to her feet. She stumbled, her legs wobbly beneath her. But as she regained her balance, she swiftly removed one of the beads from her wrist and dropped it to the floor. The small, delicate bead fell with a tiny clink.

Marco and his soldiers arrived at the address Reginald had provided, their weapons at the ready. They burst into the hideout, sweeping through the rooms with a swift efficiency. But as they searched every nook and cranny, they realized that they were alone. The hideout was deserted, the only sound the creaking of the old wooden floorboards.

Marco's eyes scanned the room, his gaze roving over the empty spaces. And then, his eyes landed on something that made his heart skip a beat. On the floor, glinting in the faint light, was one of the beads he had given his wife on their wedding day. He rushed to where it lay, his heart pounding in his chest, and quickly picked it up.

As he stood up, his eyes fell on a piece of paper on the floor. He picked it up, his eyes scanning the contents. And then, his face darkened with rage. It was a contract, one that Jessica had apparently signed, agreeing to donate her kidney to her captors. Marco's eyes blazed with fury as he read the words, his anger boiling over.

But then, he looked at the bead in his hand, and his expression changed. For Jessica to leave the bead behind, it meant that she hadn't agreed to the contract. It was a message, a signal to him that she was still fighting, still resisting. Marco's face hardened with determination.

Marco's hand dove into his pocket, his fingers closing around his phone. He dialed a number from memory, one that connected him to one of his most trusted personal investigators. The call was answered almost immediately, the voice on the other end crisp and alert.

"General!" Carlos exclaimed, his tone respectful.

"I want you to track a number," Marco said, his voice low and urgent. He didn't waste any time on small talk. Carlos knew better than to ask questions.

Marco ended the call, his eyes scanning the messages on his phone. He found the number Reginald had sent him earlier, the one that had led him to this hideout. His eyes narrowed as he realized that the number belonged to his elder brother, Daniel. A cold fury began to build inside him. Daniel was the brain behind everything, the mastermind who had been pulling the strings from the shadows.

Only a few minutes passed before Carlos, the private investigator, called back. "General, I've tracked the phone to the airport," he said, his voice urgent.

Marco's face set in a determined expression. "Guys, let's move! They're about to take Jessica abroad." His words sparked a flurry of activity as his team rushed to follow him out of the hideout.

They sprinted to their cars, the sound of screeching tires and revving engines filling the air as they sped away from the scene. Marco's heart raced with anticipation, his mind focused on one thing: rescuing Jessica before it was too late.

As they sped towards the airport, Marco's phone rang again. It was Carlos, his voice tight with urgency. "General, I've managed to hack into the airport's security cameras. I've spotted Jessica and her captors. They're at Gate 17, preparing to board a private jet."

Marco's grip on the steering wheel tightened. "Get me the flight plan, Carlos. I need to know where that jet is headed."

"I'm on it, General," Carlos replied. "But you need to hurry. They're boarding now."

Marco floored it, weaving through traffic with a precision that bordered on reckless. His team held on tight, their faces set with determination.

As they screeched into the airport parking lot, Marco could see the private jet waiting on the tarmac, its engines roaring to life. He leapt out of the car, his team following close behind.

"Gate 17, now!" Marco yelled, sprinting towards the terminal. They burst through the doors, weaving past startled travelers as they made their way to the gate.

Carlos's voice came through Marco's earpiece, guiding him through the crowded airport. "General, you're getting close. I can see Jessica on the jet's stairs. She's struggling against her captors."

Marco's heart pounded in his chest. He was almost there. He could see the gate up ahead, the jet's stairs leading up to the open door.

With a final burst of speed, Marco and his team reached the gate. They stormed up the stairs, guns drawn, just as Jessica's captors were trying to drag her aboard.

One of the captors, his faces twisted with desperation, pointed his weapons at Marco and his team. The air was heavy with tension as the two groups faced off. One of the captors, his eyes blazing with a mixture of fear and malice, pressed the barrel of his gun against Jessica's temple. Her eyes widened in terror as she froze, her body rigid with fear.

Marco's gaze locked onto the gun, his mind racing with calculations. With a swift, precise movement, he rushed towards the guard, his own gun trained on the captor. He grabbed the guard's wrist, twisting it sharply to drag the gun away from Jessica's head. The guard yelped in pain as Marco relieved him of his weapon.

As Marco secured Jessica's safety, his team sprang into action. Alex and the other soldiers moved swiftly to disarm the remaining captors, their movements a blur of trained efficiency. The sound of scuffling, grunting, and crunching filled the air as the two groups clashed.

Marco, ensuring Jessica was safe, handed her off to one of his soldiers, who quickly escorted her to safety. Then, Marco turned his attention to the fray, his eyes scanning the chaos for any signs of danger. With a swift, decisive movement, he joined the fight, his gun flashing in the sunlight as he took down the captors one by one.

As the last guard fell to the ground, Marco rushed to Jessica's side, his heart swelling with relief. He swept her into his arms, holding her close as he buried his face in her hair. For a moment, they just held each other, the chaos of the past few hours melting away.

But their reunion was short-lived. Daniel, who had been lying motionless on the ground, suddenly sprang to life. With a snarl, he grabbed a gun from the floor and aimed it at Jessica. Marco's eyes widened in horror as Daniel pulled the trigger.

Jessica's body jerked in Marco's arms as the bullet struck her. Marco's world went dark with rage and fear. He felt Jessica's weight sagging in his arms, and he knew he had to act fast.

Daniel, realizing he had gone too far, dropped the gun and clutched at his chest, a look of mock horror on his face. "My heart!" he gasped, stumbling backwards.

Marco didn't even spare him a glance. He was too busy cradling Jessica's limp body in his arms. With a surge of adrenaline, he sprinted towards the car, praying that he could get her to the hospital in time.
