Chapter 32 - Missing

Serena's POV

As soon as the ambulance arrived, Julian immediately helped the nurses lift my body onto the hospital bed. They took me to the ambulance and went to the hospital immediately. During the trip, my hand continued to hold Julian's hand without daring me to let go.

“Excuse me, Miss. We'll help you put the device on,” said the nurse while putting on the breathing apparatus for me.

I looked at the car ceiling with my heart still beating fast. However, over time, my gaze became unfocused and my body became very calm. A few seconds later, my eyes closed, and I couldn't remember what happened after that.

“Julian,” I called out when I felt my consciousness starting to return.

I opened my eyes slowly and kept calling Julian's name. Julian was one of the people I remembered and the last person who accompanied me to the hospital. My vision has started to focus, and my hearing is back to normal.

“Honey, do you still feel pain?”

“Can you hear Papa?”
