64. Same Dream

"You still here?" Alessia's voice brought Brian out of his reverie.

The man looked up and saw Alessia walking towards him. Brian put a small note in his trouser pocket and smiled at Alessia.

"I still want to be here," admitted Brian, directing his gaze to the cellphone screen in his hand.

“You want something? Snacks, perhaps?” Alessia offered.

Brian looked up again, silent for a moment.

"Yeah," said Brian.

"Okay. Wait a moment," said the girl. Brian nodded.

Alessia returned to the kitchen to prepare the evening snacks they would eat at the table. Brian looked back at his cell phone, thinking in his heart.

Is Brian trying to protect Alesia's feelings by ignoring Reyna? Even though meeting the girl was quite fun. Reyna can make Brian follow the flow of the conversation, while Alessia listens more.

"What is my relationship with her?" Brian thought. His eyes moved to glance at Alessia.
