-Jade Palace

On a huge island in the middle of the ocean, sat a majestic Palace. This estate belonged to one of the most powerful business groups in the world, the Nacht Group.

Inside this extremely regal palace, two people could been seen talking to each other.

“Mr. Nicolas! Are you really going back to Stormwind city?” a man around the age of sixty asked in a worried tone. He was dressed in an expensive white suit, and his grey hair was combed neatly.

An extremely attractive young man with glossy midnight hair and piercing blue eyes looked at the old man before letting out a gorgeous smile. He was dressed in an equally expensive black suit, with a limited edition Patek wristwatch adorning his wrist.

This extremely attractive young man was Nicolas Nacht, the owner of Nacht Group, one of the largest business corporation in the world!

Standing at 195 cm tall, with broad muscles and a body sculpted by the long hours spent in the gym and practicing several challenging martial arts, Nicolas was a complete force to be reckoned with.

“Five years ago, I was treated worse than a dog in the Tyris family manor. I endured all the grievances because I wanted to care for my mother.” Nicolas said in a very calm tone.

“However, in the end, not only did my mother lose her life, but she also lost it in one of the most painful ways possible.”

“At the time, I was too weak and miserable to take retribution on the Tyris family for their wrongdoings, but not now.”

“I have grown my Nacht Group into one of the most powerful Groups in the world, with a valuation of several trillion dollars!”

As Nicolas spoke, his murderous aura that he kept hidden for over five years kept leaking out.

The more he remembered his miserable situation five years ago, the angrier he became.

"Now is the time for Nicolas, the Monarch of the Nacht Group, to seek retribution, and anyone who gets in my way will face the power of the Nacht Group!" Nicolas declared imperiously.

At this point, the man in a white suit felt like he was suffocating.

Nicolas’ aura was just too imposing!

Nicolas smiled once more before withdrawing his murderous aura.

“Vincent, I leave the Nacht Group in your hands for the time being.” Nicolas said in a very friendly tone.

“But Mr. Nicolas, what about our rival business groups?! Surely your absence would be the ideal time for them to strike!” the man now identified as Vincent cried out in a wronged tone.

“Don’t worry about that. I have already set safety measures in place.” Nicolas replied in a relaxed tone.

“They wouldn’t dare do anything drastic. I’m sure that you can handle the rest.”

“But-” Vincent started to say, but Nicolas cut him off.

“Don’t worry. I won’t let them know that I’m not here. I’ll make sure to keep a low profile in Stormwind city.” Nicolas replied reassuringly.

Vincent let out a sigh of relief at Nicolas’ words. The Nacht Group is a very powerful group, one at the very top of the business world, but that didn’t mean that it didn’t have enemies. On the contrary, it had a lot of enemies.

Five years ago, the Nacht Group was nothing noteworthy, but the same couldn’t be said now. Such a meteoric rise in ranks was bound to attract noteworthy attention, whether good or bad.

With Nicolas at the helm, they were very few business groups that could rival the Nacht Group, and even they would have to be very careful; but if they got wind of his absence, then they would have other ideas.

Even if the small business groups were nothing worth mentioning near the Nacht Group, the very few business groups on the scale of the Nacht Group could still stir trouble for him. Hence, he had to be very discrete and careful in his quest for retribution.

“Then I wish you the best, Mr. Nicolas.” Vincent said as he bowed ninety degrees while giving his most sincere wishes.

“Thank you, Vincent.” Nicolas smiled.

Vincent then dipped his right hand into his inner left suit pocket and fiddled gently before bringing out a black bank card. He then handed over the black card to Nicolas before saying.

“Just as you instructed, I deposited a hundred million dollars into the black card.” Vincent said in a professional tone.

“I also made sure that the money would not be traced back to the Nacht Group.” Vincent added.

Nicolas accepted the black card before replying to Vincent.

“Good job.”

Vincent hesitated for a while. There was something he was thinking about, but he didn’t want to say it out for fear of angering Nicolas.

“Is there something you would like to say to me, Vincent?” Nicolas asked while putting the black card into his inner suit pocket.

Vincent cleared his throat, flustered at being caught, but went on to ask his question.

“Mr. Nicolas, isn’t a hundred million dollars too small for you to take vengeance on the Tyris family?” Vincent asked in a bemused tone.

“It’s been five years since the incident after all. With the rapid growth they’ve been enjoying, their family is now worth close to a billion dollars!” Vincent concluded.

Nicolas smiled yet again, before replying, his tone incredibly imperial and confident.

“The Tyris family is nothing but an ant before me. Even if they are worth more than a billion dollars, it won’t change anything.”

“I will have my revenge.” Nicolas declared in a domineering tone.

Vincent felt chills run down his spine at Nicolas’ declaration of revenge. He didn’t know the exact details of what Nicolas went through during his stay at the Tyris family, but he could tell that whatever they did, Nicolas had no intention of forgiving them.

Vincent’s phone suddenly rang, cutting him off from his reverie. He quickly answered the phone call after checking the caller ID and conversed for a few seconds before ending the phone call.

“Mr. Nicolas, the private plane is ready for take-off.” Vincent informed.

Nicolas nodded and stood up from the plush sofa and walked towards the exit.

It was time for him to return to Stormwind City.

The Monarch’s retribution starts now.

Nicolas smiled and fiddled with a peculiar diamond ring on his right index finger before answering her. This action drew Charlotte’s attention to the ring. On a closer look, one would notice that there was an inscription on the ring. However, before she could make out what the inscription was, Nicolas put his right hand in

Four days had passed since Nicolas' meeting with Charlotte, and while Patrick was furious over Nicolas' interruption, which had ruined his plans, Nicolas was sleeping soundly in his hotel suite's splendid master bedroom. The sound of a phone call suddenly filled the silent bedroom, and the loud ringtone roused Nicolas from his sleep. In a swift movement, Nicolas stretched his hands and answered the phone call before placing it to his ear without checking the caller ID. "Hello?" Nicolas greeted lazily, still half asleep from the all-nighter he pulled yesterday. "Hello Mr. Nicolas." an enchanting voice responded from the other end of the phone. "Miss Charlotte, to what do I owe this phone call?" Nicolas greeted while glancing at the time on the antique clock on the wall of the bedroom. "Nothing much." Charlotte answered calmly, but there were hints of excitement in her voice. "I wanted to inform you that I followed the instructions you gav

"Young man, do you live there? I heard that's not a place that just anybody can live in. It's a really expensive place." The taxi driver mentioned in a concerned tone. He was a long term resident of this region, so he knew a lot of things the average foreigner didn't. Nicolas was about to ignore the taxi driver, but after hearing his concerned tone he changed his mind and decided to reply. "No I don't live there. I want to buy a house. I heard the location is not bad, and the prices are decent." Nicolas replied casually. After hearing Nicolas' reply, the taxi driver went silent and seamlessly drove out of the parking lot. What a joke. Most people in this region could not afford to rent a place in the Onyx Palace, talk less of buying a house. It was even more unbelievable that it was this young man who wanted to purchase a house there. He did not look like he could even afford the meals there, talk less the house. Nicolas could guess what was going on in the taxi driver's mind, bu

After swiping the black card, the Point of Sale machine beeped, signifying that the payment of $17 million was successful, before printing out the transaction receipt. The customers who were so loud earlier couldn't laugh now. They were looking at Nicolas like he was an alien, their expressions extremely comical. They did not think that Nicolas could easily buy the Blue Diamond Villa so easily! To be able to spend $17 million so easily, how rich must he be? He must have had above $100 million in that black card! Ann was also very surprised. She did not think that Nicolas could afford the Villa at all. She was surprised, but pleasantly so. Nicolas asked with gritted teeth, his grip on the phone still getting tighter. "I have not discovered the culprit yet, but I am currently working on it." Detective Oliver answered in the same neutral tone. "Okay. Keep me updated on any findings you have." Nicolas ordered before abruptly disconnecting the phone call. Nicolas dropped his phone on his table and took a look at the documents. His phone was now damaged, with the edges of the phone bent and huge cracks now on it. The screen was now also bad, but Nicolas could care less about his damaged phone. His whole attention was on the conve
