The Devil You See

The cab halted in front of Dennis. He slid his phone back into his pocket and carried his bags into the backseat.

"Glendale Ave" he instructed the driver and relaxed on the seat behind him.

'No, she couldn't be right' he muttered under his breath recollecting his conversations with Sasha

He glanced at his watch and saw that he had about thirty minutes to get ready for Lord Duncan's mansion

"We're here sir," the driver said as he parked the car by the side of the road.

Dennis handed him five dollars, walked out of the cab and waved him off.

He waited till the man was out of sight before he walked towards his house. After his experience at the convenience store, Dennis was feeling on edge, he needed to make sure he was not followed or being spied on.

After searching his environment and not seeing anything suspicious, he walked into his house and set the groceries on the kitchen counter, hurried to the bathroom and a few minutes later was done and came back downstairs.
